Arriving before Agito managed to bring her guest to the lake shore. The captain was dressed slightly different than before. Her outfit was more of an elegant swimsuit than the tunic she had been wearing moments before. A long cape with a small wing-shaped mantle rested on her shoulders. Adjusting the new headband that held her hair from her face, she waited for her guest to arrive, watching the small two person sailboat bobbing slightly in the water at the edge of the dock.

It took a while but eventually Nemo was at the lake that the captain had spoken of. It really was a beautiful sight with all of the lush colors despite the season. The water rippled slightly with the wind like it had small waves running through it similar to the ocean that Nemo had seen at the port. He let out a slight impressed whistle and turned to say something to the fellow who had lead the bandit here, but the servant wasn't there. Nemo looked in circles a few times trying to locate where the man could have disappeared to but found nothing. "Interesting indeed." Nemo Stopped his pondering upon sighting the captain. Wasn't he supposed to get there before her. Of course her speed probably came from her training or something. Either way it didn't matter as Nemo once again found himself approaching the captain, "Well aren't you quick?"

{My computer is acting up, so try to be patient with me. Dx}

"A lady musn't keep her guest waiting." she replied, smiling faintly. Stepping lightly across the grass, amusement shown in her eyes. "Agito is impressive, is he not? It seemed you didn't even hear his departure. And you call yourself a bandit." she scoffed, obviously teasing her guest. She was imagining how well he'd do on the boat, as he claimed to never have been on one before. "Come now, before the boat floatts away without us." turning, she walks quietly to the edge of the dock. "After you." she gestures for him to step into the small craft, a slight grin locked into place.

Nemo stuck his tongue out at her teasing in a moment of childishness. Either way he followed and stared down at the vessel. He glanced slightly sceptic at the captain and then undid his weapons belt, if he was going to go through with this he was at least going to be comfortable. He walked away for a few seconds and hid the belt and weapons in a bush. He could always come back and get the equipment once they were done. For a few seconds he stared at the boat before easing himself into the boat. His eyes widened once he felt it shift under his feet and he almost stumbled into the water. He caught himself though before he did and was in the boat. A proud smile came across Nemo's lips as he had succeeded in the task.

The captain couldn't help but to laugh at Nemo's troubles with the boat. Stepping skillfully into the vessel, she pushed off from the dock. Attaching her sword to the mast of the sail boat, she waited for the wind to pick up before hauling the sail into position. "Be sure to watch the boom." she says cheerily, sitting lightly on the lip of the boat. Taking hold of the rutter, she steers so that they can maneuver their way out of Lake Varun and into the Dusk River. She casts her guest a mischievious look, but turns quickly away before her plan can be caught in the air. "What do you think?"

It took Nemo a couple of seconds to get used to the movement of the vessel. It felt strange rocking here and there but moving so smoothly through the water. He placed his fingertips in the water feeling the cool blue substance running between them, "It's odd...more like controlled chaos than anything else..." There was a look in her eyes that he was uncertain about in that moment but she had changed her direction before he could look into it. He relaxed a little undoing the collar of his shirt in order to cool off slightly. He could put aside the formalities with this one, or at least that was what he thought.

Laughing lightly, the captain found it all to be very amusing. "Controlled chaos is a good way of putting it, I suppose. It's much like riding a horse, I think. After a while, you get used to the motions and subconciously follow the movements." she smiled, steering the craft easily up river. There was little to no current in the Dusk River, and the wind was blowing strong. The river was wide, at least a dozen yards wide as they continued on towards the Port. "Can you see any fish?" she asked, glancing over at the man beside her. "You do know what a fish is, yes?" she asked, her tone teasing.

Nemo rolled his eyes at that comment, "Of course I know what a fish is, it's one of the most expensive foods back home for a reason." He peered into the water not really seeing anything for the moment, "Not really." He kept his fingers running through the substance that they rode on. Thoughts ran through his mind about the thing keeping them separated from the water. From the looks of things the sides of the vessel weren't that thick. It really didn't seem like much.

"Fish? Expensive?" the captain seemed genuinely surprised. "Fish are most definitely not expensive here." she replied, shaking her head. "The Dawn Sea is full of them. Maybe if you're a good boy, I'll catch you one." she smiled teasingly, guiding the boat around a sharp meander. "If this is true, I may need to make a nice trip to the desert with some new fishy friends." of course she was only kidding, but one couldn't always be sure. Looking forward, one could see many bends in the river. There were no trees hiding the shore, so one could see straight all the way to the Dawn Sea. "It's lovely, isn't it?"

Nemo laughed at the woman's remarks, "If you came to the dessert you would be treated as a queen. I can assure you of that." He winked slightly with a chuckle. He looked onward and saw the various twist and turns and the different shades of color in the land, it was all rather impressive, "Yes it is, much lovelier than back home. So many more colors and hues. It almost makes me not want to go back to the dessert." Though her comment about selling fish did have some thoughts running through his head. If he controlled the flow of fish from the sea then he could control the supply and demand. He could then use the fish business to give his thieves a front something legitimate to hide behind, he would have to set that up once he was back there.

"Oh?" she asks, turning her head so that she could look at her companion. "What makes you say that, Mister Blackheart?" at the mention of the scenery, she glances about her again. "The desert is lovely in it's own way. You must be so used to it by now that you only barely notice." she smiles, her memories of her trips to the desert only faint. "Haven't been to the desert in quite a long time. It must look completely different by now." As they continued up the stream, the scenery didn't seem to change much. Trees and greenery were pushed back to clear the shores of the rivers, and the Port grew bigger every moment. Taking them around another bend, the small boat seemed much stronger than the captain's companion suspected.

Nemo nodded slightly as his amber eyes took everything in that passed by, "No it is quite beautiful. Especially the village I live in. It's carved out of a rock formation and the buildings almost seem to be stacked on each other. When the sun sets in the evening it lights the sky on fire just as the chill of the night starts to set itself in. Other than that though it is all yellow and white or so it seems. Here you have that and so much more. Quite beautiful to a person who has spent their life in a wasteland." His eyes had a moment of reflection as he compared the two thinking about all of the roof tops and alleys and hidden passages within the city that he had rustled through as a child, "You would find some of the people in my city interesting, there is one loon who spends his days tinkering in his little hole in the wall. It's uncommon to go a month without hearing some sort of explosion or destruction he has accidently caused. Then there is this woman who spends her days making pictures in the town square using colored sand of all things. Then there's Ramses..." he hadn't meant to mention that name, "captain of the guard acts like he owns the city. Won't ever admit that I do." He fell silent after that.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 26, 2009 5:05 pm

"I guess it really hasn't changed much." she answered, thinking back to her time in the desert. She listened carefully as he spoke, catching his pause as if it had been pointed out to her. She tilts her head ever so slightly to the right side, her sign of confusion. Nemo wouldn't know this, but it wasn't exactly a complicated gesture. "It seems almost as if you run your own faction, my dear Blackheart." she mused, trying to imagine herself in her companion's place. Someone, anyone at all, standing in her way was easily scoffed at. The image of someone standing in her way or believing themself to be better, and living, wasn't something she could conjur up in her mind. Of course there was the other faction leaders, but she usually kept her distance from the rest of them, much like the Red Guard. "This Ramses sounds like an interesting character. I'd like to.........meet him."

Nemo stayed silence for a moment, "No not quite a Faction...more of a business." He wasn't sure what to say about Ramses. No he had words but none of them really were words he would say around any one of the fairer sex, "Well you couldn't believe a word Ramses said if you ever did meet him, though he is the reason you have Jon..." s**t he hadn't meant to say that either, "Ramses and I have a sort of rivalry. I do what I want he tries to catch me and cart me off to some place like the spire. It eats him like fire when he can't find proof of my activities. I do a very thorough clean up when I work so know one can ever trace it to me." If she ever did meet that old nuisance what would that mean, would she take his side and...no he couldn't think like that...She wouldn't...she wouldn't...would she? Nemo shoved the thoughts from his mind and tried to relax again with his fingers dangling in the water. She was playing mind games with him, but to what effect...
