The elements for this world are based on 4 points with a polarity of life and death at each point.
North:
Life - Flora
Death - Earth
East:
Life - Light
Death - Fire
South:
Life - Wind
Death - Lightning
West:
Life - Water
Death - Ice
Just because an element is of life does not mean its not lethal. and vice versa for Death elements. its just a symbolism of world culture.
Every element has 3 opposites. it has a polar, a same sided and a same point opposite
ex. Ice has Light, Fire, and Water.

Your weapons will eventually power up. You could leave it at a part way area so you can cover more elements of abilities but the less powerful ones or you could level into one element and get the most powerful abilities for that element but lose your opposite abilities.
