Silent Hill Temperance

Introduction:

Silent Hill: Temperance is a project I have been thinking over for months now. I've always wanted to create a comic series that was effectively scary, and as I am very obsessed with Silent Hill, I decided that I wanted to combine the two.

Silent Hill: Temperance is an original story. It takes place after the end of the first game. I wish to include some canon characters into the story, such as Claudia and Leonard.

Basic Plot:

The main character's name is Colleen Ames. Colleen has led a very lonely, depressing life. She was abandoned as an orphan and grew up in Hope House until she was adopted at a very young age. When the fire struck the town, her house was destroyed, and her adoptive parents along with it. As an effect, she did poorly in school and earned a living as a secretary, but things were looking up for her when she met Jack (I'll most likely change his name). They then got married, but only a couple years later, they were divorced. Colleen found herself alone again. After having a very strange dream, she decided to visit her hometown, Silent Hill.

I Need Your Help!

I need your help working on the comic. It would be wonderful if we could discuss the project here. I need help with quite a number of things, from plot to monster design to even the art style.

I just got started designing things.

Characters

Colleen Ames (Click for a Concept Picture!)
Appearance: Straight brown hair, falls to her back. Likes to wear button-up shirts with either skirts or khaki pants. As of body type, she's structurally curvy.
Colleen is based on me, so I don't need any help on her personality. She's lonely, bored, and depressed. I'm not sure I plan on detailing much about her, other than what happened in her past.

Jack Ames
Appearance: So far, in my head, he's just an average guy.
Colleen's ex-husband. He has bi-polar disorder, but developed it around the time of their marriage.
They divorced because he was cheating on Colleen, but Jack was actually the one to initiate the divorce.
I need a lot of help on his character... I'm not sure how to handle a guy of his type in the comic. D:

David Rhine
Appearance: Dark features, dark hair. Young, thin (slightly muscular), and attractive. Some shadow is under his eyes from lack of sleep.
David will be a very important character in the comic. Although the main character is Colleen, the plot will probably focus more on him.
He is a suicidal young man who is trapped in the town. For some reason, none of the monsters attack him--they actually prevent him from killing himself. Why? Why are they doing this to him? (The reason: because he's a sacrifice to the town.)
David is actually supposed to form a crush on Colleen somewhere in the comic.

Claudia Wolf (Click for a Concept Picture!)
Appearance: Pale, light blonde hair. Very thin, faint eyebrows. Very thin. She's often seen with band-aids as her father abuses her.
Claudia at a younger age. I'm not exactly sure what to make her look like or how to make her act, but I do know that currently she is being abused by Leonard.
I guess she'll just be a very dedicated religious girl. Shy and sweet. Tramatized by Alessa's death.

Leonard Wolf
I won't actually make him have a physical appearance in the comic, but the characters will talk about him.

Mysterious Little Girl
Appearance: An average little girl with long brown hair.
She's not a typical creepy child that always runs away from the main character, just to get that point across. She is actually the memory of Colleen when Colleen was younger. She runs around like a normal child, ignoring the events of the town just as Laura does in the second game.

Taylor Rhine
Appearance: Curvy, long legs, perhaps unnaturally thin. Short and spiky black hair. She wears red lipstick.
Not revealed until later, she is the woman who Jack cheated with. She is also David's sister.

Monsters

I have a couple of sketches. These are just doodles to stir up ideas.

Pic002: Here I have shown you a hand inspired by the aye-aye. Sometimes instead of using human hands, I can use that instead. I've also drawn a creepy fish that I could show in the pet shop swimming around in the tank. And the reason I drew the monkey? Well, humans have a natural ability to recognize a human face. Monkey faces are very similar to ours, so I thought if I could use a semi-human like face inspired by a monkey and turn it into something creepy.......

Let's see... some monsters will be based on Alessa, of course. I want some based on aggressiveness, loneliness, suicide. But, basically, if you come up with a neat design, I'll likely use it.

I don't want a Pyramidhead-inspired character like The Butcher, but I do want some sort of main monster. I'm thinking it'll be beast-like. Not really sure what to do yet.

EDIT (Feb. 26): Colleen will stay located in Old Silent Hill, Central Silent Hill, and South Park. She will stay in that region, not heading any further than Lakeside Amusement Park. Will wander on the outer regions in northern Silent Hill for her home, forest & mining caves. In other words, she won't venture where SH2 and SH3 have, minus Lakeside Amusement Park in SH3.

But any other ideas for new buildings that have yet to be explored... that would be great!
