Behind The Port is a thick forest where most would wander for days. However, if lucky, as Anlu and her brother were once, one can stumble upon the entry way to a beautiful cliff side looking over the sea that is otherwise blocked by any other means of entry... unless one wishes to climb up the cliffs?

In the spring when this place was first found, of first found and actually noted, emerging from the forest into the sunlight was a sight to behold. Short, dark, lush green grass would spread over the cliff until it reached the edge. Wildflowers bloomed randomly all over. This place was nothing short of beautiful, and was thus named Myratose...

If traveling by forest, like the wise man, one may notice a large tree with a cross carved into the bark, this is a special marker where a great man was buried.

As Anlu had left the living quarters, she bolted diectly into the sunlight as towards the forest. She had a vauge idea of where she was going, mainly because her and her brother had entered from a different area that one time... and she had found that special spot in the forest the second time to find her way. As she had gone into the woods, she could smell the distinct scent of pine, oak, and moss... Going further and higher, she could feel the distinct crunch of frost every so often. Winter was upon them, so it was no surprise. Stopping to turn, she looked back to make sure the others were following her. When they caught up, she would continue on her way and perhaps give them a bit of history about this place they were headed.

Wheeling overhead as he jumped from thermal to thermal, Puck used the vision of the raptor whose shape he wore to keep an eye on the group. With trees this thick, he would lose them if he stayed in this shape for much longer, and he was too large to dart in among the branches. Ruffling his feathers in good-bye, he shifted down to the ground, hovering by his aunt and Jon until he had shifted into his human form, his feet hitting the ground lightly and with little sound. Self-conscious, he stuck his hands into his pockets and muttered to the unspoken question, "I couldn't keep sight of you in the woods..."

Biting her lower lip to keep from laughing at her nephew's obvious pouting over having to give up his hawk shape before he was ready to, Mori managed to say only slightly breathless, "I'm sure we won't be here in the trees for long, and think of the thermals you'll find along the cliff walls." She didn't try and say more, though she felt like adding that he sounded more like a spoiled princeling than he ever had before. As graceful as she was by nature, Mori had problems not falling in wooded areas. Her feet seemed cursed to tangle up in undergrowth and/or tree roots, and it was taking a good bit of her concentration to keep up with Anlu.

It felt weird, this whole being in the forest and not in the tree tops. Every time Jon had been in a forest it seemed that he was stalking something. Still it was humorous seeing Mori get tangled and snagged. After a while he gave in and picked the girl up, "Your gonna break your ankle traveling like that. Can't have that now can we?" He looked her in the eye and kept moving like a phantom through the thick frost covered leaves.

Nemo could barely be heard. It was such a rare treat for the bandit to be able to move through the trees. It was odd to think that such a large man could be so silent even his words had ceased as he followed the blind girl. Funny, that just didn't seem wise for some reason.

Anlu waited for the four of them to catch up with her, smirking slightly that Puck’s hawk form had been short lived, and he was moping too. “Pouting doesn’t become you, Puck.” She grinned slightly. He had said almost the same to her not too long ago, she had just been complaining about being bored. Turning, she walked slower now, keeping an eye out for something they would not know. Now was the time to talk about the place they were going. “The cliffs that over look the sea are lush and green in the spring with wildflowers blooming all over the place…My big brother called it Myratose…” I miss him so much…

Eventually they came to a tree that seemed larger than normal compared to the rest of those that were in the forest. Anlu smiled slightly and walked up to it. Well, I know for sure where to go from here… Her hands traced over the deep cuts in the tree that marked her brother’s grave.

The full demon snickered as Jon saved Mori from herself. It surprised him how accident prone she was. However, he scowled when Anlu mocked him and threw his own words back at him. Glaring at the back of Anlu's head, Puck stuck his tongue out at her, even though he knew she couldn't see him. "I wasn't pouting..." he muttered in his own defense, soundingly annoiyed when he really wasn't that upset. He was worried about Anlu though, when she mentioned her brother. Taking a few long strides, he caught up with her, touching her shoulder gently. Are you going to be alright? he silently asked, his eyes scanning over the marker quickly before returning to her face.

Mori "eeped" in response to suddenly find herself being off the ground and in Jon's arm. "You know, being the damsel in distress is really getting old," she told him with a sigh, "I'm pretty pathetic for a mercenary." Really, this career choice just wasn't working out. Maybe she should apply to be given a position where she stayed here at the Strider's base, though what she could do exactly she didn't have a clue. However, her ability to be a mercenary was really coming into question in her own mind. She had been more of a victim than a fighter lately, and it was starting to bug her. Wanderer, she could swallow, but having to be rescued every time she blinked was too much for what little pride she had.

Jon laughed slightly before he replied to her in a slightly playful tone, "Ah but if you weren't the damsel in distress who would I have to protect." He moved following Anlu through the thick and the thin, "It would be difficult to get the guests out here without them getting lost." It was a thought if the place was worth it they would find a way.

She smirked at his mutterings. You know I was only kidding… She didn’t bother listening to Mori’s self doubts… she was too occupied with her own thoughts to even hear them. All she could remember now was her and her brother laughing as they ran through the forest, and the awe they felt as they happened upon the cliffs. They had gone on a little vacation between venturing from one side of the family to the other. Turning to Puck, she smiled. She was surprised by his worry, but appreciated it. His touch comforted her. I’m fine… I’m sure he would have wanted me to share this place… it’s been a secret of ours for almost four years. Touching the mark on the tree, she turned to the other three. “All you guys need to do if remember this spot and you can find the cliffs.” She walked around to the other side of the tree now, and pointed straight ahead from there. “The place we are headed is straight from here… you sure it‘ll be too much of a hassel?” Anlu walked from there and on towards the cliffs, the crunch of twing, pine needles, and more frost beneath her. Not long they came to a clearing. Most of the grass had been covered in a frost, but it was still beautiful.

Puck squeezed her shoulder one last time before she moved away. He understood her pain, more than she knew or he wished to talk about. The demon followed her into the clearing, breathing a sigh of relief as soon as they were out from underneath the trees. Almost immediately he was back into his shape as a hawk, flapping his impressive wingspan till he caught an updraft and was able to soar along the cliff walls. Mori had been right, there were incredible thermals caused by the sea winds, making his flight more enjoyable...sorta. As if fate hated him, he sensed the prescense of another hawk. Wheeling for a better view, he found it to be a black goshawk, a female who was barely an adult. Oh no... No no no no NO! he mentally groaned before beginning to make evasive manuevers. She wasn't swooping in because of territory, that much he knew! He let out a warning shriek, making it clear he didn't want her invading his air, only the little fool bird ignored him and continued to persue.

Mori laughed at Jon's answer, though she was flushed slightly from interacting this way with Nemo, Anlu, and Puck around them. Tilting her head, she said in thought, "If the ceremony is only going to be a handful of people, we can have it here but have the massive reception I'm sure the captain is planning somewhere else that's easier to find." Before she could muse further, they cleared the trees and Mori's eyes widdened with wonder. She wiggled her way out of Jon's hold now that her feet no longer had tree roots and such to worry about, and focused instead on the incredible view. Even the smell of the sea didn't upset her like it normally did. She only had a few moments to absorb it all before she was distracted by the two black hawks. Tilting her head, it took her a moment to realize what was happening and once she did she couldn't resist laughing, though she covered her mouth to muffle the sound.

Jon nodded slightly at Mori's comment. It was funny that she could escape his hold so easily. She might have been a clutz but it seemed that she was also an escape artist, no matter though, the only thing she could do here was fall off a cliff and Jon was certain that she wouldn't do that. The view was astounding. Jon looked all around even closely at the earth they stood on, "Wild flowers grow up here don't they?" He thought he saw signs of them in the nature of the soil, though he was uncertain. Rather than move about though he sat against the tree line and took it al in, this really was happening. It was all coming together perfectly.

Nemo landed tenderly on the ground gazing about, "You don't get to see this in the dessert."He looked straight off the cliff viewing the roaring waves below. "Can't wait to see what it looks like in the spring." It seemed to Nemo that judging from the couples reaction this was going to become the spot or the wedding.

Anlu touched his hand before he let go, and proceeded up the small hill. Within a second, Puck became a hawk once more and soared away. The view was quite a sight. Hearing Jon’s question She turned and nodded. “Yeah… Wild flowers bloom all over, you’ll even start to see them in early spring, rather than mid or late spring. The seas bring warmer air, and allow them to grow sooner, and live longer.” I could have sworn I already told them that flowers grew here... Was he too gaga with Mori to notice? Feeling the slight slip and slide of the frosted grass beneath her feet, Anlu was about to take a bit of a running start to see if she could slide all the way to the forest’s edge. The only thing that stopped her was Mori’s giggling. Raising an eyebrow in confusion, she walked over to where her half demon friend was and tried to follow the direction of her eyes. “What is it?” Not seeing anything, as it was obvious that what made her laugh was up in the air, Anlu tugged on Mori’s sleeve. “Show me, please! I wanna see it!” The girl was bouncing on her toes now.

Giggling helplessly, Mori breathed out, "It's Puck..." She sent the image of the too-large hawk trying to get away from the natural hawk with the paler underbelly. "She thinks he's another goshawk, and she doesn't have a mate..." she couldn't help laughing at Puck's obvious dilema. He was wheeling and twisting, doing all sorts of tricks to get the female to leave him alone. If only she knew that the full demon could shift and eat her in a single bite in five seconds should he take on his dragon shape. However, the fact Puck was too nice and was just trying to avoid the bird showed the sweetness he had down in his bones, though he may try to deny it.

Unbeknownst to his aunt, Puck was contemplating doing exactly that. The female goshawk was far too persistant for her own good. And much like his aunt, Puck couldn't communicate telepathically with animals. Finally, he had enough. Riding a thermal to where he was skimming the ground, he shifted into his wolf form and the shape adapted to the action by seemingly starting in mid-leap. Before the goshawk had time to register this, he quickly pivoted around and snapped at her with a snarl. She instantly wheeled away, letting out a distressed cry. Feather duster! he called her, using a wide-mind send so that everyone heard him to see if she would as well. Keep her from chasing after him, he hoped...

Jon let out a slight chuckle and shook his head slightly not even thinking what he was going to say in return. It was humorous. Finally he looked to Mori, "Well is this the spot? I mean do you like this place?" What few guests they had would have to find there way here with one of them so it would be okay. It wasn't like it was difficult to find a cliff, right?

Nemo bellowed at the sight, "What's wrong puck? She too much Woman for ya?" He couldn't resist especially after that feather duster comment, "Perhaps a woman would relax you slightly, ya can't be this uptight all the time. I know some demons in th dessert, they have all that honor babble you were talking about, and they are so much fun to be around,. You have never gone to a party until you've been to a fireheart party complete with dessert nectar. " The nectar was a type of wine produced in the dessert with a hi alcohol content and a mild taste, it suited people who weren't light weights just fine.

Anlu watched through Mori's eyes and couldn't help but laugh as well. Turning to Nemo, a grin crossed her face as he had said close to what she was about to think. Now because she couldn't be the one to tease, too much anyways, she tried to be on the demon's side. "Awww... c'mon Nemo. That's not being very fair... Love at first sight isn't always for both people involved." She reached down and scratched Puck behind one of his wolfy ears, as if her were a pet. She couldn't help it... Animals just made her want to pet them, and if he was going to take an animal shape... he hould be prepared. "Calling her a feather duster wasn't very nice though... just because she doesn't know any better... " She giggled again and gave him a smile.

Go to hell, desert rat! Puck snarled at Nemo, not amused in the slightest. Matters of the heart had always been sensitive to the full demon, and now was no exception. It was far too tempting to chew off a piece of the thief. And I'll tell you what, next time we go to the mountains, I'll find any young single males in the Xerian clan and sick them on you, we'll see how much you like being chased by something that isn't even your species, he told Anlu, obviously still not in a pleasant mood, Hell, at least demons and humans can interbreed! I couldn't take an animal mate even if I wanted to, which I can assure you, I don't! He shuddered at the thought, though that could be as much from Anlu's scratching his ear as anything else. Her actions made his tail wag as a reflex, which only made his mood worse as he felt completely out of control, even of his own body.

Mori finally got control of herself, though she did feel sympathetic with her nephew. Instead, she focused on Jon, which was hardly a hard task for them anymore. "It's lovely," she assured him with a smile. "And it should be easy enough to get the people we want at the ceremony up here... After all, the list is just this group here plus the captain and Yata, isn't it?" She wanted to confirm who all was going to be at there at the ceremony at the same time as they found a location. Let Fornicatus worry about the reception, Mori was going to try and stay out of the limelight as much as possible during it, as much as the bride could, anyway. The half-demon glanced around as she thought, able to imagine the field filled with flowers. Myratose reminded her of somewhere else, but she couldn't place where. Perhaps she would remember later...
