Need to figure out how soul stuff will work out in Shinobi Shinwa. This is so that we don't have to go back and change what we already wrote to make things fit. They'll all be numbered, please use when replying. Ex:
1) Wait what if...?
2) okay sounds good
5) blah blah blah
If you want to add some just continue the numbering (last one 12, then use 13). Each number should only be used once. If some are similar then they may be combined later but the numbers shouldn't be used again or it'll get confusing. I'll keep the Final List updated with what makes the most sense so far: (btw chi = spiritual energy + spiritual only, ryoku = physical/body energy + physical only)
Final List
1) All living things have a soul.
2) The soul is made of energy in a different state other than mass. Energy in this state is called "spire." Mass represents a large amount of energy but it is unknown how much spire represents. Theoretically it represents many times more than mass does because it is currently immeasurable.
3) The soul uses chi to control the body.
4) The soul cannot function without chi.
5) The soul uses chi to convert unidentified spire particles into even more chi. This is a lengthy process.
6) Any part of the soul that gets separated from the body will automatically rejoin with the closest body part.
7) Ryoku must be used to attach a soul to another body.
Discussion:
1) Not sure what defines "living things". "Things with souls" would be a circular definition, which doesn't clear anything up. This law is vague (not good) :/ Needs lots of work.
2) Mass is energy in another form. Basically this law says "spire" is energy in another form, and souls are made of this... stuff. If that doesn't help then think of spire as like "spiritual mass" (technically incorrect because it is not mass but hope that gets the idea across).
3) The soul and body cannot be completely separated because they have to interact *somehow*. Think there needs to be more to this but can't think of anything to add yet. Like how the soul goes about "controlling the body". Should the soul just be a mist of spiritual particles or should it have it's own anatomy with brain, lungs and all?
4) What should happen when they run out of chi? Should a Shinigami reap them? Should their soul just vanish... Post what you think makes the most sense.
5) "Unidentified particles" need to be named. Also not sure if this is how souls should work. Using chi to make more chi sounds like it's going against the Law of Conservation sweatdrop
6) I can't remember why I added this but I think it was as a safety against overpowered soul stuff. Something seems wrong with this one.
7) This one's hard sweatdrop Ryoku supposed to only work with physical stuff (body) while chi only for spiritual (souls). But souls shouldn't be able to reattach where ever they want. So, using chi shouldn't be able to reattach a soul. What do you think?
8 ) Then there's the problem with bringing back the dead. How exactly should this work? Soul traded for soul? Only requiring lots of chi = everyone just bring back the dead.
9) Need to figure out the EMF (electromagnetic field) thing. Why or why not ghosts/spirits should emit this. I'm guessing due to the "high energy association" (e=mc^2, lots of energy equivalent to mass) this could explain the EMF thing... or not :/ Remember we're not scientists, just trying to come up with stuff that sounds pretty correct/right.
10) Need to figure out the EVP (electronic voice phenomena) thing too.
11) And explain why ghosts/spirits can sometimes move stuff, cuz they don't have a body... Maybe they can convert chi into ryoku :/ I think this may end up getting combined with #10. Looks like #9, 10 and 11 are related.
