If it's any comfort, Jesse Mcartney played J.R on "All My Children", who was an angsty, angry, drug-addict teenager. And, judging from some photoshopped pictures, he could fit the look for season two and three Zuko really well.

Not to mention he did the voice of Roxas in Kingdom Hearts II, where he was also pretty angsy and angry.
I was feeling really po'd about Jesse playing Zuko before, but I don't feel as angry and I'm actually a little interested in how they go about it.

No amount of spray-tan will make a white person look convincingly Water Tribe. And I doubt there was a lack of talented, ethnic actors looking for roles. Srsly. That's just ridiculous. The other character being cast white I can handle - but Katara and Sokka? I'm sorry, but they are so far from Caucasian it's not even funny. Dx

It was nice to have such a mult-racial cast, I was looking forward to seeing it transfer into the movie.

I'm still rather pissed/disappointed that the cast is all white when the characters are so culturally diverse...However, I did look at Mizsweet's journal on DA, where she linked a YT vid of MCartney on Law and Order...
He actually looks like he has some range to him and could pull off Zuko rather well(He was playing a very emotional/angry/angsty guy who killed his girlfriend, very regretful, confused character).
STILL, White...But maybe he could pull it off...I still say that at the VERY VERY least, the kids who play Sokka and Katara(and Yue) should be FREAKIN' tan.

Site protesting the cast. Also, protest video. It's not just the cast that's being white-washed, either, guys. Check this out. ... This isn't even going to resemble "Avatar" aside from basic plotline, is it? The world I've grown to love so dearly is being ripped apart.
