i'm trying to find out when the new Beowulf starring gerard Butler is going to come out. But I can't seem to find a time or place, I was hoping some of his most devoted fans would know. biggrin

I looked on IMDB and it said something about 2005 so I'm guessing sometimes this year maybe at the end of the year around chrissy.
I also read that its a must see and the rating was 8.5 out of 10 stars. Pretty good!!

:O
Shouldn't it be out by now? I don't see it around here.
I saw a poster for it though at a movie theatre on Wednesday and I went bonkers.

I'm going to see "Beowulf and Grendel" tonight at Westside Pavillion in West Los Angeles. Today is the last day it will be playing there; it was showing there as an exclusive one-week only engagement. It isn't playing anywhere else in the city, so if you want to see it, get yourself over to the Westside Pavillion Cinemas tonight!

Went to see Beowulf & Grendel last night in West LA. As I was not required to read the book in high school, I'll have to trust my husband's review that it was "a faithful adaptation" of the book. In my opinion, it was very much an art-house film.
The editing could have been better, but the photography was very good. Beautiful scenery and what I can only assume to be accurate period costume.
I spent most of the film feeling very very bad for the poor ponies they used in the film. These great big men with armour were riding these 'horses' which looked more like overgrown ponies. They were so little that the actors barely had to make an effort to get on and off the creatures.
