Reya L'tour vs Dimitri Solidari
After having faced a number of challenges, you feel as though the light at the end of your journey is near. You couldn't be any more wrong. In this city of darkness, light is not welcomed here. Discouraged on all ends, a reflection of the night sky. The land is cold, providing you with a slight feeling of discomfort. Despite your longing for the only physical embodiment of hope there is, you see nothing but the uncertainty of a mist devoid of all forms of compassion, love, or kindness. Despair slowly takes place faith. The thought of death slowly takes the place of the thought of life. A spiritual blackening of your outlook on life occurs. After a while, you're unsure of where you're going. You keep wandering and wandering deeper and deeper into this darkened heart. The fog hinders your vision, but only slightly. Finally, you find the presence of another. Just as your spirits begin to rise, you discover that the one standing before you is none other than your opponent.
Let the battle begin.

Dimitri glided effortlessly through the fog in the city of darkness. The fog spread out before him as a receding curtain as he made his way through the streets.
"This is truly a light-forsaken place...," said the paladin as he grasped the holy symbol around his neck.
He could feel little warmth in this area, however the thermal activity underneath the ground would likely become his main source for heat energy in this place. The air, winds and his own fighting skills would likely be his primary defenses in this fight, as it seemed the choosing of the arena was against him this time.
He sighed and unsheathed his blade, sliding his fingers down the crack that stretched from the tip to the hilt with a caressing touch and reading the inscribed runes.
"I fear not what comes... For life is too short to fear at all."
He glanced back up from his sword and noticed a woman's silhouette forming in the fog.
"Greetings, and well met," he spoke more than shouted to his opponent.

Reya was truly at one with this environment. It was as if she had stepped into her true home. A home of shadows. A home that actually put a small smile on her pale lips. She glided through the mist and darkness in a pure bliss. Hidden from the light, she wondered vaguely where this wonderland was, and how she could ever find it again. Then she heard his voice ring out through the dark. Immediately her smile faded to the smooth emotionless icy appearance, and she stepped forth from the dark, whip handle held tightly in her right hand. She felt metal. He wielded a sword. His armor. All perfect defenses that would be useless against her. She needed to get closer to him and examine his wears.
"Well met indeed, Holy Knight." It was obvious he was a Holy Knight. He radiated sunny goodness. Sickening. "Are you prepared for this fight?" she asked, hardly interested in him at all. She was busy concentrating all of her eyesight directly on the silhouette of the Knight she could now see forming. She had stopped walking a bit ago, but it seemed the mist was settling around them. At least, for now it was.

"That sword... I know of you... Reya L'Tour," he said aloud as the mist dissipated slightly.
"You were once an angel of light, a being of purity and justice... and now, just a tool for destruction. You do not belong amongst the darkness, one who knew the pleasures and beauty of the heavens does not deserve to trudge about the shadows when the world of lights above is so near."
He gave a disarming smile, "You are not past redemption. Nobody ever truly is. Whether I defeat you or not, I'd like you to think about that, angel."
Pulling his blade in front of his face then shifting the hilt slightly on both sides a loud click was heard. The sword unhooked and transformed into its two thinner twins.
With a sudden thrust, he tossed both blades up into the air out of both of their reach and manipulated the winds to hide them from sight.
"I am ready, angel, whenever you are," he said confidently with some sadness in his voice.

Reya showed no emotion on her pallid face, but inside, a fury burned. He knew of her? He knew of her? He knew about as much of her as the last two she had faced. Nothing. A being of purity and light? Redemption? What was this bullshit? She sensed the blades in the air, and could tell their positioning, although her eyes did not see them. He was foolish. A foolish senile human whose ideals would never come to see the light. You either died a pure being, or lived long enough to see for yourself, as the purity transformed into corruption and finally see your life for the lie that it was. That was why he was a miserable misfit. He could not see, the justice and honor that he stood for was a horrible joke.
"I doubt that you have the strength for me to even use my sword, human. Redemption is impossible. I will never return to those things you call the light. The light is simply blinding agent, behind which seeps intolerance, corruption, and the true evil that captivates the world. You will never see that evil, because you are a human. You will die before you ever know it. Now, come at me. You won't be able to draw blood, boy." she retorted, like a schoolteacher scolding a miscreant. He would see, what true power was. What the darkness held, that the light could never even get close to. That was the true reason the light fought the darkness. Because they were afraid of the power the darkness held. No, but she embraced it. She would hold this match as her victory, come to meet her final opponent, and crush all that stood in her way from the new world that Master Tokushi so persevered for.

Dimitri sighed at the sight of the fallen angel's hatred, frowning.
"The heavens did not forsake you until you turned your back on them. Your time in your fall-from-grace has made your heart cold and hardened, as knowing the pleasures of the heavens and then losing them is by far the worst fate any soul could suffer but there is always hope for those who choose to believe in the one truth: No one is past redemption."
"Light embrace us both," he whispered, grasping his holy symbol, a warmth flooding his being and brightening the darkness surrounding him.
He opened his palms and felt the thermal energy beneath the cold stone streets, sweat began to roll down his forehead as he focused in on that heat, bending it to his will.
Cracks began to appear on the surface of the street as the ground began to shake. The entire area began to shake as the thermal energy of the magma began to near the surface, raising the temperature of the zone drastically.
With one fling of his wrist, fire erupted from the ground and the Holy knight began hurling large chunks of magma at his opponent.

Again, the fire of anger flared up within her. How dare he speak as if he knew her. Losing that light, was the best thing that had ever happened to her. How dare he speak such insolence. She would make him regret his words. He would lose that insolent tongue by the end of this battle, she made good promise of it.
She saw through his attack. She saw it before he ever came. The heat was the first obvious sign of it. To avoid it in the first place, two great black wings sprung forth from her back. The feathers as soft as a swan's, and the power even greater than a dragon's.
The hot air currents only made flying easier. In a few seconds, she was high up in the air, effectively avoiding any burns. Now, the foolish man was throwing large chunks of magma at her. She weaved in between the chunks carefully, with the grace only a fallen angel could wield. It was a display of grace that would intoxicate many a human. She hadn't even let her whip down from its handle, which was still gripped tightly in her right hand.
Reya smirked inwardly.
"Is the best you are capable of boy? You will find out, just what the darkness is capable of. Redemption is my goal. Redemption of his filthy world. Redemption of the corrupted light! I will destroy them with my own hands, and rebuild the world with Master Tokushi and Lord Cyrus! We will be the gods of a new era, and you are just an insignificant bug that stands in my way! Don't speak as if you know me. You will find, that appearances and rumors, are very misleading..." Reya warned, hovering in the air as the last of the magma passed.

The paladin had known none of the magma would hit its mark, as any opponent with any type of speed would be capable of at the very least dodging most of the superheated rocks. He had no intention of even harming his opponent at this stage.
No, the magma served a different purpose to the knight.
The heat radiated from the glowing rocks and flowed into him, giving him more energy and strength. The increase of temperature and heat in the zone would be a constant buffer throughout the entire fight. The light around him began to shine brighter as he observed the fallen angel in all her dark glory.
With a twist, he brought his arms up high and swung them down low, now bending the winds to his call, swirling at his back and lifting him off his feet to meet her in the air.
I have to be careful with my weapons and armor here... what I've heard of her means she could do irreparable damage to them... Oh well, I fought my last two opponents without my trusted blade for the majority of the fights as well.
The winds soared as he levitated with ease and speed, flying towards his enemy. He tightened his arm in preparation for a lunging blow though prepared to bend the winds once more to bring himself into evasive action if need be.

The Light that shone around Dimitri was a beam in the dark. The mist that should have limited her vision, became obsolete with his aura of beloved light. It only proved further her thoughts. The light is afraid of the darkness, it must bring its 'holiness' with it. She would defeat him, she pledged her life on it. The only loss, would be in death.
Winds. She had flown through even the worst of hurricanes, and even a tornado in two. He obviously did not know she had been a soul collector before she had fallen. Angels were not impervious to nature's wrath.
Her wings held strong against his winds. With the heat, the wind currents were a reliable source. She swooped down, about fourteen feet away from Dimitri now. The metal, she felt it a buzz within it. She would take that metal for her own. But for now, she was going to lull him into a false sense of security. Her whip was ready at her side. She poured power into it, and out shot its neon violet stream of corrosive energy. It entwined around her arm, split into two, the second stream now curled around her shoulders and neck and around her other arm. She was ready.

Dimitri had hoped his opponent would have made some kind of action early, but it seemed she would not grant him any foresight into what her plans might be. A grin made its first appearance on the face of the holy knight as he simply shrugged in his charge.
With the wind rushing at his back, the holy knight flew in, the tightened fist in his withdrawn arm had finished drawing energy from the air around him and directed it's power into the rest of his body. His joints and reflexes aflame with a burning speed.
As he met the fallen angel in the air, he began a flurry of attacks. Kicking low and lashing out high, he constantly continued his barrage. Even though these swift attacks wouldn't likely cause much damage on contact, they would at least keep her pressured and off balance.

Pah. A flurry of fast-flying fists and some wind-maneuvering for temporary flight would not phase her. She was an intellectual with powers unfathomable to all, except perhaps Master Tokushi. Although this power was not yet available to her, due to the accursed seal upon her lower back, it would be broken yet. Even with only a small fraction of her power, she had defeated two opponents already. She would defeat a third with the same smoothness and ease.
She was at a perfect distance now. Every punch and kick and attack he threw at her, she easily countered and blocked it. She may have appeared like a twelve year old, but her strength was great, and her control of her elements was even greater. Every spot of the block's impact was shielded with metal that lay just under the skin. Invisible to the human eye, yet so effective, she would think it ingenious herself.
Now however, was the time to strike. Just as he threw another punch, she gripped his curled fist tightly and held it with all of her power. The whip that had curled around her arm quickly reacted, entwining itself around Dimitri's arm and continuing to grow in length as it coiled around his skin and quickly made it's way to his face. The moment the whip made contact with the skin, it would instantaneously begin corroding the tissue. With only thirty seconds of contact, it would have made its way down to the middle of the muscle tissue, and with another thirty seconds, it would have burned all the way through one's skin.

Dimitri looked on unshakingly as the whip latched around his arm and made its way for his skin. The poison and corrosion began making his face puffy and smelling of burnt flesh.
Just another scar.
The paladin laughed aloud, ignoring the pain as he drew closer to the fallen angel, as he did so, he reached out and grabbed his opponent's other arm and drew them close together. With a coy smile, he bent the power of the heat within their own bodies and the heat of the air around them to flow into him. The metal on both of their bodies were beginning to turn red from being superheated to the point of melting, however the paladin being accustomed to the flames only smiled as the pain of the poison and corrosion thinned out and faded while the heat continued to rise as he grappled with his overconfident opponent.
"There is nothing that cannot be undone, angel," he said as he forcibly held the whip and arm that brought them together in place, almost enjoying himself.

And so, it appeared they were at a stalemate. A game of chicken. Either burn to death, or be eaten alive by the corrosion. He was going to loose an arm before she burned up. Maybe his tongue too. She was sick of his backtalk. And so, in response to her wish, the whip grew further and wrapped around Dimitri's face, forced his way into his ajar mouth, and wrapped securely around his tongue.
He had grabbed her, but now wherever he was holding her, his skin would be burning away as well. The whip acted as her own defensive armor, as it was entwined around her own body, yet it did not burn her. She had tamed her weapon to her skin, but it would not stop for Dimitri's.
Reya had no metal on her body, but in her body was where she was deeply in trouble. The excess metal was heating too quickly. It was going to kill her at this rate. But she could not let up. She changed its properties. It was titanium now. A very high heat-capacity. She would last yet awhile.
The whip had easily curled around the fingers that Dimitri used to hold Reya tightly. It burned so quickly, she focused its power specifically. If he did not let go, he would be losing his fingers in around five seconds. This tongue would be next to go in six seconds. Then his arm in ten seconds. It would all occur if she could only hold on a bit longer.
"You talk too much." Reya responded curtly to him, ferocity burning in her eyes of crimson. She had been within hell! These flames were nothing! She would live, yes! She would live on and she would defeat this idiotic paladin of 'light'! She would create a new world with Master Tokushi! These thoughts gave her strength, and the will, to hold on longer. She would not die. Not yet. She had things yet to do.

Dimitri would not let go, no matter how dire the situation began to look. The stench of his own rotting flesh was beginning to reek badly as he closed his eyes and prayed. He prayed with as much fervor and determination as any knight ever had.
In moments, just as the corrosion was beginning to reach the bones of his hands, the holy symbol around his neck shone with a blinding light, giving off a heavenly radiance. The light continued to grow and expand, it enveloped his entire being and as the winds came through again, all of the tissue, the skin and bone began to regenerate rapidly. Where the dead skin had been, it shed and fresh new organs of flesh came into being.
With no expression on his face, he opened his eyes again and looked at his opponent. His amulet made from the finest runewood still shining brightly around his neck, he began channeling the heat from the metal of her person directly manipulating it to join with her own body temperature instead.
She would not have to burn and lose her skin, nor any bit of the perfect figure she enjoyed flaunting.
She would burn alive from her own boiling blood on the inside.
Still expressionless, Dimitri reiterated, "Nothing cannot be undone, angel, even you."

Reya almost grinned at his pain...almost. And then that blinding light, and he was healed miraculously. Traitor to his kind. Pitiful man! Relying on some trinket to keep his life. Now she had to retreat. It was foolish to continue on such close contact. She would retreat and regroup for the time being. He still kept his metal..for now.
She let the metal surface in her fingers. It formed tiny, yet sharp points. Although the heat softened it, the high heat capacity of titanium held strong at the current temperate. She dug into his skin with the sharp points, then drove her knee into his stomach to press off and release him with. The moment he let go, if he did indeed let go, the whip would release him and come back to its handle as a single stream of energy. If he did not release her, then she would be forced to use a greater power to remove his self from her.
"Don't speak like you know all that their is to know. You have much to learn." she retorted. His arrogant speech really touched a nerve.
