NATURE!!!

Gelflings: Gelflings dwell in any of the great woods in Prirode.
Gelflings are small, elf like beings with fae magic. Female gelflings are usually fair haired and pale skinned, while the male have olive complexions and dark hair. Female gelflings also have translucent, fairy-like wings and are capable of short flight and gliding.
Clothing - They mostly wear earth tones as their dyes are made from the trees around them.
Alliances: They are peaceful and friend to all races who hold to the light.
Traditions:
Behavioral Traits:
Racial Specialties: Gelflings can speak in the languages of animals and upon physical contact with one another can share thoughts, memories, and feelings in a process called Dreamfasting, a type of telepathy.

Wood Elves: The Wood Elves reside in the central woods of Prirode, and also hold holy ceremonies in the Stone Circle located there.
They can have brown, blonde, red, and in very rare cases dark green hair.
Their eyes are all colors found in forests.
Alliances: Over time, spirits such as Dryads, Gelflings, and many of the Fae, came to accept the elves, although some such as the Unseelie branch of the Fae still resent their presence and parts of the Fae Wildwood remain closed to them.
Traditions: When greeting anyone of the Lord class level, they bow with arms out gracefully and behind themselves.
Behavioral Traits:
Racial Specialties:
Racial Background: The Wood Elves were once a colony of the High Elves, however after political struggles between the High Elves and other factions, the High Elves called all colonies of elves to return to Parapei, the ancestral home of all elves. However, many of the colonists felt little loyalty towards the distant High Elves, and when war broke out with the Astrai many of the colonists refused to participate. When the High Elves retreated completely back to Parapei and hid themselves away from the two main lands, most of the Wood Elves chose to remain.

The Wood Elves are comprised of many class levels:

Lords, such as the
-Highbourne- upper, ruling class of society. Expected to rule in times of peace and defend the forest from all who enter. They are highly skilled, far more than the average foot soldiers. Some Highbourne even take on the aspects of the creatures of the forest, giving them the ability to call the forest into battle and wake the Dryads.
-Vineweaver- a Lord-level Mage/Druid, similar to the common mage accept for the ability to communicate with the forest, making them excellent caregivers. Vineweavers can also chose to bind to an animal totem, giving them the ability to shapeshift into that creature.

Heroes, for example the
-Noble- similiar to the Highbourne but with a lower status. Noble's usually carry the battle standard.
-Spellsinger- basic Mage for the Wood Elven ranks, carry jobs varying from Battlesingers to healers
-Branchwitch- a Wood Elf who has binded herself with a Dryad (avaliable only to females). They are hard to kill but cannot venture outside of the woods without killing themselves and the dryad they've melded with. Similar to Vineweaver

There are also Wardancers, Glade Riders/Gaurds/Scouts and Warhawk Scouts. (PM Hey Peanut for more info or post in OOC thread!)

Fae: They reside in Prirode. Their major cities are Précie, Astbarre and the Seelie Court.
The Fae can be any shades found in nature, and their eyes are two, three, and sometimes four-toned in color- for example, the King of the Seelie has eyes the color of sunlight streaming through spring green leaves.
Clothing - Their style of dress can be anything, although they usually dress similarly to the High Elves in the Seelie Court and the Unseelie tend to dress in rich, dark colors.
Alliances:
Traditions:
Behavioral Traits: Although some Fae will claim to be either dark or light, in reality all Fae are neutral. They work their magics to heal or hurt depending on one's standing with the Fae and their Courts. The Fae can be rather selfish and cruel. A life at court is challenging, where politics and petty games of arrogance, cruelty, sadism and the occasional assassination, are regular parts of the daily regime.
Racial Specialties: They possess great magic, most especially glamour, an ability that changes the way the caster is viewed. The Fae are separated into two Courts, the Seelie Court, also known as the Court of the East or the Summer Court, and the Unseelie Court, also known as the Court of the West or the Winter Court.
Racial Background: The Fae are a race descended from pure beings of magic of ages long past.

The Seelie Court:Located on the eastern side of Prirode, the Summer Court is made up of fae who are neutral, or benevolently inclined towards humans, and who represent the powers of regeneration and growth. The Unseelie Court views the Seelie Fae to be hypocritical, as they portray themselves as good, pure, innocent beings, but have a hidden layer of nastiness that shows itself whenever someone out of the norm is born. The Seelie Court has on again, off again alliances with the humans of Terre.

The Unseelie Court:Residing in the twin cities of Précie and Astbarre on along the southwestern beaches Prirode, the Court of the West is viewed by the Summer Court as capricious and as amoral. The Unseelie Court is ruthless and dark, a people ruled by their vices who will do anything to get themselves ahead, and oftentimes fatal duels were fought over what seemed to be trivial matters. Recently, the Unseelie Queen outlawed death duels on the grounds that it was thinning their numbers, as the Fae take upwards of five years to conceive a child and have a gestation period of 13 months. The Winter Court, unlike the Seelie, thrive on individuality and will accept any Fae into their midst, including Fae banished from the Seelie Courts.

OTHER!!

Fle'ards: A rare elemental creature. Fle'ards are born when a magic user working with an element causes the element to gain consciousness and form. The Fle'ard holds a human shaped form and gains size whenever it chooses, but generally stays around human size. Generally speaking, Fle'ards seem to be free spirited and, although not obligated to, attached to the mage that helped spark it's creation.
