There's no point in messing with talents right now. Seeing as they're likely to change 5000000 times before the actual game is released. If the release of the expansion is anything like the release of the Burning Crusade then there will be a patch before the game comes out that'll expand the talent trees and give everyone free respecs. THEN you can worry about talents.

Anyhow, what was stated is pretty true. Aside from the spec being rather horrible, many of those talents might very well change. They'll change during the course of the Beta. They'll change from the Beta to live. And they will change in the couple months after live. Finally, they will -continue- changing every patch until the next expansion, where it will start all over again. Planning a level 80 spec is rather impractical at this point in time.
By the way, have you managed to get a 70 yet?
