 Welcome everyone!
I'd first like to say a few things before we get into the event!
HOLYBAJEEZIES!! DOMO is turning One Year Old!! Time went by so fast from when we first opened the DomoPond Pub in the Gaia Commerce and then created the DOMO Guild as an Art Themed Guild + Local Hawaii Hang-out. Our little Guild has really grown since we opened. We've gained a lot of members and met some wonderful people along the way. Thank you everyone for your participation in the DOMO Guild!
Although many of us have been busy with our lives, we've still had our share of fun conversations and will continue staying as active as possible! Hopefully, we'll also be reorganizing our subforums and holding more events. If not, we hope you'll enjoy DOMO anyway!
Our lives are constantly changing and leading us in different directions, and it's comforting to know that the DOMO Guild will always be here... and so will our friends.

Hello once again and welcome to the "What's happening, yo!" post! As it was previously explained above, we've created this thread to celebrate the One-Year-Old Birthday of our DOMO Guild! *Sqwee* Although our Crew didn't really discuss what will be going on, I took it upon myself to get the ball rolling.
We will be holding 2 Main Events: The Art Event and several Contests throughout the week. We hope you will participate in them! Prizes will be handed out by me, Shampoo-chan... but later, when we figure out what those prizes will be... sweatdrop
This is our way of thanking our members for being apart of our family, The DOMO Guild.
Now on to the events!

HOMGZ!!! FREE ARTS!!1!!
You got that right! I will be giving free artwork throughout this week (along with anyone else who feels compelled to draw, too!!).
Rules:
1. Follow the TOS, as always. :B
2. Don't beg for free art... D<
3. Anyone is welcomed to participate in this event as an artist!
4. Post your artwork in the thread, or PM it to me, so I can upload it into this post.
5. I might not draw artwork for everyone who posts, but I sure will try!! I will be drawing avatars as they are.
6. No complaining if you don't like your art. D<
There isn't really anything you need to do to get the artwork. Just post in the thread and have fun with our Contests!
I also hope to do a group picture with everyone who has participated in the Celebration! So be sure to dress your avi the way you'd want it drawn!

The DOMO Guild is an Art-themed Guild, so we'll be making Art-related contests! We hope you'll have fun with this!! Let me know if you have any ideas to add to the contests! :3
Rules:
1. Obviously follow the TOS.
2. All entries must be posted in this thread or PMed to me.
3. The date listed is the deadline for each contest.
4. Shampoo-chan is teh Contest Judge*, but will make a new Poll for each contest**, so people can vote on their favorite entry.
5. All entries must be YOUR own creation, whether it is a photograph, song, tektek, artwork, etc. No plajorism or stealing!
6. Anyone caught cheating (related to rule 5) will be disqualified and shunned. D<
7. Have fun! DO NOT stress because of the contests. This event is meant for you to participate and have a good time.
* I won't be participating as a potential prize winner, but I may enter a few Contests for fun!
** If you've accidently voted for the wrong contestant on the Poll, let me know so I can correct the number of votes.
(We'll discuss prizes later... ninja Although, if you have some items you'd like to donate as prizes, send them in a trade to Shampoo-chan and label the trade as such heart )
Day 1 [Aug 22] - We will begin the contests tomorrow! Today will be used to preprare yourself for what the contests listed below!
Day 2 [Aug 23] - TekTek'a Domo! Use our beloved Dream Avatar Creator to make a TekTek avatar as close to Mr. Domo as possible!
Day 3 [Aug 24] - Brown is Down! Dress your Avatar as brown as possible with clothes, items, etc!
Day 4 [Aug 25] - I Speak of Sweet Domo! Create a poem or song or short story about our beloved Domo. It must be longer than 7 lines.
Day 5 [Aug 26] - Domo-themed artwork. Go nuts with creativity! A Domo must be featured in your artwork - whether it is a Domo, Domo clothes, Domo objects, etc.
Day 6 [Aug 27] - Snap'n Shoot! Photography! This one is open to all sorts of creativity. First, you will need a camera of some kind (sowwy to those who don't have one). Take a picture of something that reminds you of Domo or is related to Domo. The more creative you are, the better chance you have to winning. Example: Take a picture of your Domo doll + Calender, Dress up your cat as a Domo, Make a Domo cake. eek GO CRAZY!!
Day 7 [Aug 28] - Yet to be decided. Ok, dammit, I don't know what to do for Day 7. D<

Happy Birthday Domo!
This is indeed a magical day because I got the internet installed at my new place about five minuets ago! Hoora! Ahhh, it feels good to be back online in that creepy addicted-to-the-internet way - but personally I feel it's deeper then that because this really is the main way I correspond with my friends (whom I love and miss dearly). And I need friends right now. crying
Anywho, I'm not sure I even have paper around here but I'm gonna try to find some (I might have to get creative) and pump out some artz.
I love our little guild! And thank you Sista' Shampoo SO MUCH for putting all this together - I'm le suck guild leader lately. heart crying

I got lazy and didn't wanna draw out another picture so I used Lee's Bamboo drawing pad to do a quick Shampoo head. I'll do a nice pin-up one for you later, but enjoy this strange little one first!
