So, I'm at WVU on what amounts to a full ride of scholarships and grants. The school owes me thirteen dollars for coming. I was feeling happy about myself.

Months ago, I found out I was placed in an all-girls dorm. This wouldn't have bothered me, but the dorm wasn't even in the four or five I listed as my first choices, and everyone else I knew got at least their third choice. Also, this dorm doesn't have air conditioning. The floors are LAMINATE. They're smaller than my current bedroom (which is 10' x 12', by the way). We're not allowed to have appliances. We're not allowed to have candles or incense. We're expected to put up with the live-in staff's daughter randomly coming in our rooms and acting like she owns the place.

That's the start of my gripes.

Next, they assigned me a roommate. The only thing we have in common is Alice Cooper, or at least that's how it seems. She's polite, though, and that's what counts. I really hope we can get along, or I'm going to be spending some nights with my friend in another dorm...

And now for the part that pisses me off.

I was a complete moron and forgot to register for the right section of a required class. Normally, this wouldn't matter as much, but this is a fluff class that they tacked on because my mother didn't bother to finish her degree, and decided to work instead.

University 101. ******** UNIVERSITY 101. They teach you how to be a college student.

And now I'm pissed off at myself because I could end up not graduating because I registered for the wrong ******** section of a fluff class. Damn it.

Damn it.

As much as I hated high school, I'd rather be back there for another year. ******** gold and blue. I want my red and black back.

On a light note, my high school's colors are the same as Durem's colors. Go figure.
