All partisapants engage when ASAP
You approach a barren waistland of scourched earth and armor. It seemes that a battle has taken place here amongst the norm of the world. All in search for an ancient relic that may boosts ones power. An alter lies dead center of the battle field that has decade 200 yards all around its base. Utop this alter lays a shield of power that once belonged to the very first of the Red Guard. It is said that it is capable of sucessfuly nulifying the base elements of Earth, Fire, Wind and Water. However one must stay on the defencive for its magics to work thus if a weapon is used as long as its wielder holds the shield, the shield is no more than an old relic.
All teams report as soon as you can
Rules
1}No god modding/ auto hitting 2}In order to gain the shield in your posesion you must roll a 1 or a 10 on 3}a 10 sided die. 4}If you roll anything 2,3,4,6,7,8 or 9, the number you roll is how many postis it will take for you to be allowed to roll again. 5} If you roll a 5 you can stop another from gaining acesses to the shield if they had rolled a 1 or 10
(If you failed in rolling correctly by rolling any number not 1 or 10, please state how you failed on your next post for rp purposes............and if you succeed do so as well along with if you stoped another from succeeding)
Seeing as this event kinda died, and being the team to hold onto the shield the longest, the Dawn Striders have emerged victorious!

((Chronologically speaking, let's have this take place some time after the first round of the tournament and before the second.))
Nexus and DJ have been venturing from the holy grounds for quite some time. They're tired, hungry... leave it to two idiots not to pack any food. They knew they're exploration of the lands would be time consuming, and they knew that they'd need something to keep them going, but for some odd reason, they didn't actually know. They didn't know how long this would take. Shoot, they've barely even scratched the surface of the world.
"Hey, Nexus..." DJ manages to utter. This kid has practically had it. Just looking at him, one can find fatigued boy on the brink of collapse. Just flat out pathetic. He trudges through the barren wastelands, wearing a casually red T-shirt and blue jeans. In school, he was called 'Big Red' every time he dressed as such. In fact, that's all they knew him by. Whenever they needed someone tall and strong to serve a solid defense in basketball, they often called out his name, or nick name. Good times.
Using his freakishly large sword as a walking stick, DJ finally finishes his statement by declaring, "If we ever make it to the next town... remind me to kill you."
Nexus, dressed in his usual black T-shirt, black cargo pant manner passes DJ's threat off with a scoff. Yes, it was sort of his idea to leave the comforts of home in the first place, but he blames DJ for going along with it. "Don't be gettin' mad at me, dude. You could've stopped this long before it happened!" He brought along his sword as well. It's not as big as DJ's, but in his mind it's a lot cooler: a katana sheathed in a scabbard raveled in white bandages.
I find it funny that they considered carrying weapons along their trip as a necessity instead of the much needed life supply of food, but hey, that's a teenager's mind for you.
"Do you even know where we are?" Nexus queries in his broken and fatigued way. His body's just about had it. In the next few moments, it wouldn't be surprising if he just fell to the ground.
Same with DJ. Looking around, he can see a bunch of nothing. Scorched earth lined with a trail of broken armor plates, even a few weapons among the corpses. To any normal kids, it'd be quite a shock to see dead bodies along the ground they walked, and at any other moment, it may just affect these two, but they're so wimpingly pathetic right now, they couldn't care less.
"I don't know." DJ finally answers, annoyed at the question, annoyed at Nexus, and annoyed at pretty much every aspect of life right now.

((Nice, right in between the point of the traitor's surrender and the true terror incarnate revealed.)) Up near a hill, the red brown haired warrior took in the sight of all the fallen warriors upon this scorched land of a battlefield. It was a true tragedy to see man was still bent on killing there brethren. Such as Humanity's nature to destroy all they had fear of. Truly another reason why Tokushi's goal was to become absolute. To end humanity and it's fears so a new world could be born from it, new life to take over the dead and their past life. His hawk eyes glew like a burning flame of ambition wanting to burn this plague of pre-sinners who resisted his rule of change ".......All will be consumed by their sins when the day comes......" He mumbled lightly to himself and began walking through this battlefield some more.

((Now let's play nice and no hitting the drunk guy ^_^))
The dawn strider came down wearing no armour as it could be seen. Yet it was some distance and this figure was running really fast. He was quite tall as one would see, well he's pretty huge rather one would see as he come close. Arenger the Norse Viking was doing a brute berserk rush straight for the goal. Nothing would stop this giant on his way due to his momentum. It was all for the shield he went. With full speed and his hands raised he ran across corpse and dust.

Entering from the east, Captain Neciel of the Dawn Striders walked slowly towards the altar where the shield awaited. Bodies littered the floor beneath her feet, and she heard the sickening 'thunk' as her heavy armored boots stepped on a limb of some sort. She glanced down, dismayed to have her newly made custom-armor marked by another's blood. So soon, at least. Sighing, she merely continued on towards the altar.

Yata entered the area, his psychic powers focused on the positions of his foes, and his allies. The alter was visible directly northward as he entered through the south. He knew there would be strong types after this shield, and the bodies and dust that littered the floor was a clear of that. Almost like an omen. Speeding himself up, Yata wearily gained distance to his destination, his sword drawn, and mind at the ready.

"And what do I owe the pleasure of meeting my dear Neciel to such a bloody field?....." A voice sounded to the dawn Stridder Captain, a voice so familiar that only she would remember. As well as reconize the timeless face since her younger childhood as a little girl wandering the castle halls. As she would turn with her memory, Neciel saw the red haired man Tokushi walking from a nearby bolder revealing himself to her. Those hawk eyes gazed at her looking upon how she had grown from such a young girl to a full grown warrior "....What brings you here?...."

Arenger stumbles as he runs across a big stone. Well when he would tell the story it would be a magical stone that moves. Yet the fact is that a 7'5 feet tall warrior is tumbling over, in such a way one could think he was drunk but who would drink before a battle? The man gets up and walks up towards his captain. He grabs for his axe as he approaches the two captains from Fornicatus rear. "Okay so you where right...it didn't work. Yo happy now?" The man roars out as he stumbles on his foot. Yes the idiot wounded himself running head first into the fight. Arenger now blamed it upon all stories of glory about the shield Fornicatus told him on the way here..

Reya silently stared down at the bloody battle scarred land. It was a tragedy, and all too familar. Was it here that she had come to collect souls from a battle long past, that led to her ultimate demise and painful fall from the foolish light? Was it upon this despicably earth the greatest warriors had come, and fought, and all died for a single shield? Was that truely what had happened upon this ground? And was it the same vision that tourmented her to this day? The one that tainted her once pure heart and soul? The one that turned her wings black? She thought not, but could not be sure. It had been so long ago, that her mind no longer had a clear picture of the aftermath. Although, some nagging thought at the back of her mind told her it would look similar. Her crimson eyes caught vision of the shiled in the middle of the field, and slowly made her way towards it. She faintly acknowledged the other around the field. This would be an interesting day...

(( 8 ))
"You're worthless!" Nexus exclaims. Hunger and fatigue is a powerful force. Policemen, law enforcers, and those other people shown on Law and Order often use it as a means of manipulating the victim into admittance of a crime. Keeping food away from a person is a good way of getting in their head.
"You're an idiot! Now shuddup!" DJ replies. Tensions boil in the pot of his head. He's just about had all he can take. This journey is was stupid, he was stupid for even considering it. Right now, he just wants to turn back and go home, but for some reason, his feet keep moving forward. The fact is, they're so far from home, he probably wouldn't be able to find his way back, and the strong desire for food is affecting his judgment, so looking back, he'd most likely get lost and wander in circles.
"Poser!" Finally at the brink, Nexus displays his hostile aggression towards the only other being in the vicinity. With a half blinded sense of vision, Nexus throws, what can only be described as, a drunken punch DJ's way.
He didn't see it coming, but somehow knew it'd happen eventually, and so his only response to it is the same pitiful manner of meeting Nexus' fist with his. Even weakened, DJ is still fairly stronger than his comrade, and his arm's longer, too, so upon impact, it's fairly certain that DJ would inflict the most damage.
However, neither of the two manage to hit a thing. Falling to the ground like two rag dolls next to each other, they feel the utterly disgusting taste of bloodstained ground upon their tongues, and the only comfort they have left now is... well, I'm not quite sure.
"I hate your guts," DJ mentions.
"Shut up, poser."

Distracted by the call of her father, The captain Fornicatus misses her chance to grab at the shield. "Likely the exact same that brings you here, father-dear." she replied, a grimace settling on her angelic features. "I'm not exactly here for the scenery." she waved her hands at the scene around them.
Turning at the roaring voice of her Norse warrior, the woman-captain grinned wickedly. "Extremely, Arenger. You should never doubt your captain." she shook her head, long white locks hiding the grin spread across her face.

"Well it seem's I have the chance of meeting one of your warriors......and he's very big, well I hope he can fight besides just falling on his a** all drunk..." Tokushi was ready to get this fight on with anyone. It was in his blood when confronting more than one person on such a bloody battle field "So who do I fight first?...."

"Well I'm afraid that if you go after either of my warriors, then you'll be challenging me straight on." she smiled, turning her attention back to her father. "So don't waste your time." she smiled again, the expression so similar to her mother's. "Unless that is your intention..."

The Norse warrior heard a few things, the one thing he cared about was fight. "Me, cause beside Fornicatus...I never beaten a captain before!" He cracked his neck and pulled out his axe. This was an honorable opponent. Yet then he notice his bottle of Norse alcohol been dropped so he he bows down. "I need to fetch my bottle before some rat takes it good sir. Yet we'll fight before the sun is set."
((I have to get to bed for work tomorrow...and I would hate to lock your character. If you accept this first challenge then just destroy the bottle in your next topic...I give this offer because I would hate to lock your character at this early stage of tournament))

Yata approached the Alter, halting at the sound of his two Comrades, and the voice of a dark power nearby. Yata stood away from sight, not wanting to get near the shield just yet. He would wait till the time was right, when conflict tore the battlefield once more, as he had foreseen. Waiting at the ready, at a good chance when the shield would be open for grabbing. He his his psychic signature well, and only hoped not many could feel his presence nearby. (Post counter: 6)
