Wind whips everything in sight, and it seems that a tornado is being born. The setting is a large forest, with many large clearings placed about. Okay kids, try not to get blown away~

Abrien stood in the center of the fight area and waited for his opponent to show, his hair was braided back to avoid hindering his eyesight, he wore his best protective hard dark leather armor and his short sword was strapped to his back and his nine magic knives were tucked safly in a hip pouch he waited with punching rings adorning his hands the wind whipping around the area bothered him little, he'd starved himself of blood to ensure primal fighting ability...Today he is out for blood and he will gain it.

Reya would have flown to the area. Indeed, she would have if the wind had not been to her extreme disadvantage. With the winds as such, Reya had been forced to walk through the heavily cleared forest, and now she was late. Not that being late bothered her, more so that she simply wasted more time by being late, and it would push her entire schedule back. Indeed, even on such an occasion, Reya was almost the same as ever. Her strange white hair was tied back into a single braid that whipped about in the wind. Dull crimson eyes stared out ahead of her, watching ever so carefully and taking in ever detail. Her simple white dress adorned with a small hand-embroidered crest that Reya considered to be a sign of her 'family', although this crest was hardly noticable. The only real difference to Reya's apperance, was her bright red mary-janes had been traded in for tall black combat boots. They looked heavy, but Reya hardly felt them on her feet. Finally, she saw her crimson-eyed opponent and stopped where she was. The wind wipped about them violently, but Reya remained undaunted.

"Your name..?" Reya asked in no more than a whisper. Yet, this whisper was mysteriously carried about by the winds and arrived to Avrien's ears as clear as if she was standing next to him with their faces only a few inches apart. She dared not kill without a name. Being highly respectful of the dead, she always asked for a name and buried the body where it lay. She couldn't help it, it was her angel heritage that she so despised, but she was bound to it by habit and lack of time to change.

Abrien not wanting to give her her little benifit of knowing the name of whom she vanquished in the case that happens replied "My Name is Arkay," He said adopting the name of one of his knives "and yours is?" he asked trying to show he was at least a little polite.

Reya listened quietly as the wind carried his reply to her and inwardly smirked. So death would not come upon him this day. He had hesitated a slight second when he gave his name, and so was either lying, or just cautious. Reya could not kill without a name, and certainly not without a full name. So be it, a name was a name, and she would find it out one day. Reya's careful dull crimons eyes took in every detail of this, 'Arkay's' face and commited them to memory.

"A stranger name was never heard... I am Reya L'Tour, a name you will do well to remember." Reya replied, her voice arching to a normal tone before sliding back into a whisper. Again, the wind carried her voice across its various waves and landed upon Abrien's ears as perfectly to the degree that it was indeed eriee.

Abrien laughed, it was loud and a little uncharacteristic of him it was also hollow and lacked the feeling of amusement "There's a big difference between you and I, angel...You kill with honor, but in my blood starved vampirc state makes me a sociopath...That means I will not hesitate to kill you the second I get the chance...I'm here for your blood and I will get a taste..." He said eager to get started.

Oh, simple vampire who wallows in overconfidence and stupidity. He was about to get a taste of the blood that would kill him. If he wanted her blood, that was just fine with her. She didn't even need to pull out her sword to deal with this weakling. Still, it never hurt to overestimate your opponent's abilities. Overconfidence usually led to one's downfall, as every Greek Myth demonstrated. However, for calling her an angel she would indeed have to put this idiotic vampire in his place. He was a traitor to the shadows. Such vermin gave them a bad name. She was still respectful of the dead, then perhaps now was the time to change all that.

"Very well then 'Arkay'. " she spoke his name with venom that stayed upon her tongue, leaving her speech devoid of feeling. "Have at me wild beast, or has your courage already left your quaking body?" she finished speaking and pulled the black handle of her whip from her dress. It was a simple black handle, shorter than it ought to have been, and with a whip attached. A most strange weapon for those who had not seen its true corrosive power.

The Angel felt that he was overconfident, she could have never been more wrong, deep inside he felt that, in his human half at least that he very well could lose his life...But the vampire in him believed that it would take a lot more than an angel to destroy him.

Seething with an intense hatred of her nonchalance, he grabbed at her arm holding the whip and swung with full force at her face with the other hand, his spiked punching rings gleaming in the light.

As expected, her provocations had worked like a charm and sent this seemingly overconfident vampire to grab her arm and swing at her face with metal spikes upon his knuckles. Well, as if the situation wasn't perfect enough. The moment the metal spikes touched her pale face, they immediatly were pulled from their positions and reformed into a square of silver on her face, excatly where he had punched her. It was a quite efficent way of blocking a punch. Simultaniously, the black handle held tightly in her hand exploded into a vibrant neon purple and from its empty end burst forth a neon violet energy that hummed with excitement. The energy seemed to be living by itself as it wrapped up the vampire's arm tightly, reaching up to his shoulder and slowly extending towards his neck. The moment the energy touched his skin, a sizzling sound was heard clearly through the wind. The energy was teeming with corrosive energy. It was enough to burn through the strongest of defenses in seconds. Overconfident idiot.

Abrien looked down at his hand where his rings used to be in anger, those had been a gift. doing his best to ignore the burning in his right side he focused and used the whip as a link between them, he froze the blood in her body to a complete stop, causing disorientation. With her in this state he drilled his knee into her gut.

Reya blinked as the blood in her body froze for a quick moment, then started up again. A sudden dizziness overtook her, which was quickly shaken off by a sharp pain her in gut which snapped her out of it. Reya quickly grabbed his knee with her free hand to keep him from moving. The silver came through her fingertips in sharp points, claw-like extensions to her fingers that made it easier to grip his knee and keep him still. The whip quickly ate through his defenses and started burning through his skin as the end of the end grew in length and spilt apart into several ends. One of those ends wrapped around his other shoulder and started down his arm, the second and third intertwining around his chest and starting down towards his legs, the fourth of these wrapped lightly around his neck and curled up around his face, only touching the skin below his eye. The silver square from her cheek sunk into her skin and traveled through her body, down to her free hand that attempted to cling to Arkay. If the whip kept up its burning, it would reach the bone within a few minutes and completely disable his arms and the rest of his body.

Abrien, a little shaky from being only on one leg, used his free hand to grab at Akatosh his dragon knife, and cut into the whip to sever it's continuous growth against him and he attempted to pull it from his face, an act that left chemical like burns on him "Let go of me!!" He bellowed and lunged at her trying to knock her off balance he bit at her shoulder trying for her neck I have to drink from her to restore my body to it's scar less self He thought maniacally gnashing at her

Although Arkay feverously tried to sever the whip's energy, it was to no avail. The knife passed through the energy unphased, it not a bit detoriated. Only a fully focused mind with great control over magic could sever the concentration of corrosion that lie within the whip. As the flustered vampire lunged at Reya, she held strong, digging the claw-like silver that emerged from her finger-tips, into his leg to steady herself. Reya could feel the desperation for blood. He wanted to strengthen himself with her blood. What he didn't know, was the moment her blood touched his lips, he would be poisoned and weakened. Reya had been experiamenting with poisioning her blood, and had finally found the way to do so. Still, it was hardly needed for him to be poisoned, with the whip crawling itself down to his legs now. The whip purposely avoided where his heart beat, he would die slowly, painfully. Although, the whip had eaten away at a good portion of his skin on the arm that held her wrist, and it wouldn't take much longer for her to completely disolve the muscles that allowed his arm to move.

Abrien noticing his Akatosh was ill effective tossed it to the ground and grabbed for Arkay, the blood knife and he also pulled Mara the healing knife out, He stabbed Arkay deep into his heart and shuddered as the blade, rather than making him lose blood was in fact replenishing it and restoring his senses, with his mind free of the bloodlust he used Mara to dissipate the corrosive bindings he was faced with the healing knife was like no other it destroys all that afflicts a vampire...except of course a fatal blow. but with her whip actually off of him he found that the scars from their wounds would not heal, they were dealt by too strong a magic to get rid of. "It seems you've left your mark on me." He said finally letting her arm loose he pulled his short sword clumsily with his weakened right hand
