So...I went upstairs to go eat dinner, for the first time in a while, figured I'd at least try because I'd been working extra hard around the house to impress my parents in an attempt to get them to stop calling me a lazy b***h all the time, so I figured they wouldn't bother me too much. I started eating a little and my dad asked me what was wrong and I just said I wasn't very hungry and mentioned I hadn't been sleeping well and had been waking up at four in the morning the past few weeks (I just recently discovered they'd been hiding the fact I was a chronic insomniac from me since I was a little kid). He said it was probably just my circadian clock trying to set itself or something, and I thought, hey, make conversation, so I started talking about this show we watched for psych class about sleep and how severe sleep deprivation could possibly be linked to type II diabetes. He immediately launched into how the study was wrong and I was stupid for believing it and even bringing it up, and ranting on and on about it, regardless of how I tried to explain the process from what little they showed in the video he kept telling me how it was wrong and they were feeding me lies and I was an idiot, and just basically making fun of me. It was great. I love my family. I don't even know why I bother talking to them, and told them as such.
