I like the idea of this guild a lot but I think there needs to be more development in the factions.
For example, establish a role for each faction:
Red Guard: Help keep order in the world?
Paladin's: Work towards world peace?
Dawn Striders: ????
Knights: Work towards world destruction?
Like I am trying to say each faction needs a direct goal. I need an explanation for things such as the flame and stuff. I think there should be another extremely exclusive faction, one like a World Order, who don't really show their face to the other factions but one faction, possibly Paladin's follow their orders, even though they are blatantly corrupt. The could give the factions something to fight over or a common enemy.

Development of the factions is indeed a must of the guild. I agree that we haven't much of a story or goal for any of them as of yet. That may also help influence new comers of which faction they really want to join in as.
The group of World Order does sound like a plausible idea. I like the idea of having a said government for the guild. That said, we also need to establish a timeline for the guild. Should it be another feudal/medieval thing, or should it be set in the present, maybe even the future?

"They have a goal, Jin has explained this to Kenzo and from what he has told me, this as it follows....
Red Guard: Yes this group keeps the balance of good and evil through the eternal flame...
Holy Knights: To protect those from all evil forces including that of the Dark Knights (I be in charge of the D.K.'s)
Dawn Striders: They are mercenaries for hire and work for any one depending on the group (Like my faction the D.K.'s)
Dark Knights:My faction would be after destruction of the old world that's presented in the story, and create a new world from this one and rule it....
And this is Jin's decision by the way of the factions, each with a strength and a weakness behind it. So far the two factions would go up against my faction unless I had my group threaten the red guard. Then the red guard would step in and fight the Dark Knights along with the mercenaries and the holy knights.....so unless it is cool with Jin, then I recommend to just stay away from making another faction for the moment...."

I see, but even so there is no history for them.
I think this should be in the future, after an atomic war of sorts, civilization has to restart and many secrets are lost, all known by the World Order.
If there is any World Order, I'd like to head it =]

I also believe there should be some form of weapon or something that has incredible power. Like something for each side to try and obtain cause they don't have much to fight over right now.

Exactly, I am saying that there should be something that has enough power to destroy the balance to tip the scales. That way there is something to fight for.

As I read this .. summing it all togher..
There needs to be more history
a time, and place
and big legond of some kind to get every one chassing after some powerful foe or iteam...to obtane world (peace, doom..ect.)
I agree with it should be in the future, but you dont have to use war to explane.. why not make some funky religuse group or two that makes knights. For the time and place.. how about useing time warps and other planets.. ((all of this to give more of a spectrum for creative minds)) Also with the legond thing they could go through test to turn into a deamon or angle.. (of course if you beat the test you lose something of your humanity.. like touch, voice.. ect.))
all of these are just some diffrent ideas *shrugs* and sorry about my spelling =/

Maybe we could have some psycho crazy person try and steal the power of the eternal flame, and after a bunch of conflict and disagreements, the three factions join forces to take the power back with the goal of restoring the natural balance of the world. Then once the power is recaptured, the Dark Knights seize the moment as the prime opportunity to reshape the world, so then the Paladins and eventually everyone else fight against them.
Random thought.... Could work, but I don't really care if it does. As side note, I'm watchin' Finding Nemo.
