When does Sonic appear in the Subspace emmissary is it when u meet Tabuu or before the Great Maze?

Is is just me, or did they kind of do sonic wrong in subspace. He really didn't have much of an intro, no theme music, and you saw him with no one else. I thought you'd get him on that island in the air...

I believe it was because Sonic wasn't originally intended for the game and Mario was supposed to break Tabuu's wings. Then when Sonic got in in, Subspace Emissary was almost finished. biggrin
