This thread exists to make your WoW gaming experience easier. It lists addons that have been used and recommended by our members.

If you have an addon you use that isn't in this list, please feel free to post it and we will add it. In order for us to add it, you must include three things: It's name, where to download it (links please), and a brief description of what it does/why it's useful.

Navigation

1. Introduction and Navigation

2. Guild Required Addons

3. Package Addons

Guild Required Addons

These addons are required within the guild because they are the most useful ones for guild activities. If you do not have these particular addons, please download them immediately. They do not take up much space, and they're incredibly simple to use. :3

Cartographer
Another map addon. Among many other things, it allows you to see where your guildmembers are (if they are using cartographer too), and see mining and herbalism nodes.

GroupCalendar
An in-game event calendar that allows people to plan and sign-up for in-game events such as running instances or just getting together for something fun with your guild.

Omen - Required at level 70.
Another threat meter. Works with KTM, so if you are in a party with someone who uses KTM or Omen, you will see how their threat rating stacks up against yours.

Package Addons

These addons generally work best when used with other addons. Some can be standalone addons as well.

All Deuce UI
A compilation of various Ace2 addons.

Atlas
With just the basic Atlas, you get valuable map information, such as flightpath maps, and maps of instances.

Atlasloot Enhanced
Works with Atlas, or as a standalone mod. Allows you to see loot information about bosses and minibosses in instances.

Deadly Boss Mods
Provides tons of useful information about bosses in instances and raids.

FuBar
This addon is an interface for TONS of other addons which can be found on this same page. With the various "fu" addons, such as MoneyFu and HonorFu, you can get different helpful information, and display it in the FuBar. There are many addons that can be used with this one addon, with pretty much something for everyone to be found.

Lightheaded
A great addon for your quest log. This addon attaches a side-window to your in-game quest log. This side window contains all the comments and questions asked on www.wowhead.com for the particular quest you are looking at. This is helpful because people post their suggestions on how best to do a quest, and what to look out for. Also people post coordinates for where to go which is good to know if you have any coordinate system.

MazzleUI
A compliation of addons designed to give you a pretty much complete UI overhaul without having to do and download and configure all the addons seperately.

Titan Panel
Titan Panel adds additional information to your interface that some may find helpful. It can be used to show framerate/latency information, experience information, location information, how much money you have, how much bagspace you have used, and so on. Can also be used with various plugins

TomTom
If you get lightheaded, you should definitely get this addon. TomTom is a coordinate system that displays your coordinates on screen. The reason this addon is a must-have with lightheaded is that when someone posts coordinates in a wowhead comment, it shows as a link in lightheaded. If you have TomTom, clicking this link will set a waypoint on your map and minimap for this location, making it easier to get to where you are going quicker.

Standalone Addons

These addons are generally used and downloaded on their own.

Bongos
The main feature of bongos is that it allows you to do more with your action bars.

Buffwatch
A minimal addon that allows you to see active buffs and inactive buffs on yourself and other players. Also allows for easy one-click recasting of buffs on yourself and other players.

Fishing Buddy
An addon that lets you easily manage several aspects of fishing.

Gatherer
An addon that displays mining, herbalism, and treasure information on your map and minimap, thus making it easier to find these nodes if you are out farming for particular items.

Identity
Not much to this addon. It essentially lets you set a name to display after your character name. Really helpful when you are playing on an alt, or you have a particular name you want to be called.

KTM
A threat meter. Great for instances. Basically, it tells you what your "threat" is. If you are in a party with other people using KTM or Omen threat meters, it will compare your threat rating to theirs, so you can visually see if your threat is below your tank's, and when to back off because your threat is getting close to your tank's

MetaHUD
An addon that gives you a "heads up display" of information about your character and your target.

MetaMap
A map addon with far too many features to list. Does some things that Atlas and Cartographer do. Click the link to see all it's features.

MozzFullWorldMap (Fan Update)
Shows unexplored portions of the world map.

OneBag
This addon makes all your bags appear as one giant bag.

X-Perl UnitFrames
Among other things, this addon allows you to adjust party, target, target of target, pet, and target of pet icons.

YATA (Yet Another Totem Addon) http://files.wowace.com/Yata/Yata-r80544.1.zip
Like Totemus and Totemtimers, this gives you a totem timer along with a nice, easy to use totem interface (and the ability to save "sets" to switch to at different points in the game, such as a Healing set of totems or a PVP set).

cyCircled http://files.wowace.com/cyCircled/cyCircled-r73522.5.zip
This addon changes the textures for the buttons on action bars. Purely cosmetic.

Bartender3 http://files.wowace.com/Bartender3/Bartender3-r78566.5.zip
Like Bongos, this is an Action bar addon that permits you do add, hide, or reorganize your action bars.

I'll add more when I get the chance. xP

Tseta C. Aito

Fashionable Seeker

Hinotori no Rei

Friendly Lunatic

I don't recall seeing this one anywhere up there, but it's a nifty little paladin Blessing addon for your raiding paladin, or parties and raids composed of more than one of them.

Pally Power

What it does is allows the assignment of paladin buffs group or raid-wide. So that way paladins won't be stumbling over their action bars and keybindings figuring out who gets what blessing.

Anyone can get it, by the way. :3
