Bad idea,it will cause manyproblems like motins, poverty and famine;or even worse a war(thats me being exentric!I dont think war is impossible but it can happen) But this is just my opinion,I just dont know why they let Kosovo being independent, that was never a country, the only reason to be indpendent is because there is a mairoty albanian population...Let me continue from:I just dont know why they let Kosovo being independent and dont let Kurdistan,Palestina and Tibet!

Why should Serbia be independent then? No one bothers to question the other states in former Jugoslavia these days.
Palestine is independent, occupied or not. (Just like Iraq is independent even though US troops are there.)

Servia was there before Kosovo,I'm not good in history but after WW2 all that countries were formed;or sometime later I dont know, that was up with the allies or whatever they were.
Besides Kosovo doesnt has the proper requirements to be a country, more than half of the population is poor and unemployed, there is a lot of crime like corruption and organized crime(Mafias).
The independence of Kosovo will also many separatist movements in other countries act better, like in Spain there is the Basc coutry and Catalune, maybe North Ireland(It has got pacific at least for what I know),and Scotland(Never heard ofseparatist movment but you never guess).
Iraq has is own goverment and Palestine doesnt, just people figthing(Like Hamas)

You seem to have lots of opinions, but you have no clue what's really going on, do you?
Some of that is just plain nonsense.

well, I think Kosovo it's an important part of Serbia also because of their history so they are linked...but I think it's easy to talk about this without know how they live, so I'll try to say my general opinion. I don't want to offend anyone of course, but I think that if every particular "place" in every country wanted to be indipendent then would be a lot of problems but, as I said, I'm not sure what is happening now in Kosovo so my opinion is general. *also sorry if you have problem to understand because of my English

No comment on the subject, but you seriously like politics, don't you? (And sorry, if this isn't the place to write this comment, you can delete it then.)

I think that if the majority of a people wants to be independent, then it must be independent. Is a non-sense to be part of a nation that you don't feel as your nation, and when is a majority of a people... well, democracy is about majority. The theory is that our rulers will do ever what majority wants. Why must be different about this?

The theory is that our rulers will do ever what majority wants. Why must be different about this? Yes, I agree. As for starting a war, perhaps a war NEEDS to be fought. People here are violent and frustrated. This leads to poverty, violence, and genocide as tensions boil over. The best way to prevent this is to let them fight it out. People will die, of course, but how many MORE would be killed by genocide and starvation? They need to get their independance, and if they want to fight each other, let them get it out of their systems early so that peace can move along smoothly.

Barons arguments do not really follow a logic to me.
First off: The Kurds, Basks and Kosovarians may be ethnical minorities, but their are not spread under the populations, they are on one spot. I think it's nonsense to have a minority being a pain in my a**, because my country claims a specific region.
In todays time, we should think clearer than in those pro-imperialistic ways, which set the world on fire more than once. Most of those "terror" organisations are simple freedom fighters, who drifted in a "happy trigger"-direction. The PKK would not exist if Kurdistan was an own state.
