Welcome to the broken Arms Inn my friends.

This thread welcomes all who enter.
This thread you can chat, and RP a bit. I don't mind what you all do, as long as you follow the rules. Please read the entire first page please.
Thank you

location

The Inn is located outside the main city of the Guild. It welcomes all who happen to wander in through its doors. People from all walks of life, wanderers, thieves, and even a few samurai or knights have come in to rest in these old timbers. The Inn rests on a large hill that over looks the city and the mighty air ship ports. On down the road that leads up to the old building, you have to go through an old wall that seems to have been build long ago even before the city was created. It is overgrown by vines and brush from the surrounding woods to the west of the city, but it welcomes the people who pass through its only opening.
User Image
It may have been a wall that kept out intruders from a past settlement that was here many, many, many moons ago but then again, it might have been designed to help keep the forest from overgrowing into the main city. Many dangers reside in the forest. If you wish to continue up to the warmth and safety of the old Inn, do it with caution and travel quickly before the demons of the forest find you. Good luck to ye.

The Outside Of The Inn

Don't let the outside of the Inn fool you with its mossy stone and its weathered roof. It is one of the sturdier buildings in the ancient city. Besides being the more studier buildings, it is also one of the oldest. The building has two stories above the ground and one below, serving as the wine cellar and shelter if a bad storm would hit, and the shelter would protect anyone from the harsh winds of any angry storm. From the road, the warm glow of the windows give hope to any weary traveler who is in search of a strong drink, good food, and a safe place to rest. When one gets closer to the Inn, you can see the forest disappear and an old wooden sign hanging above the door. In gold letters, the sign reads "Broken Arms Inn". Conversation, mingled with a little bit of laughter can be heard coming from inside as you walk through the old oak door.

The Inside of the Inn

Main Tavern Room.

User Image
As you close the door behind you, a fairly large room opens up to you. There is a large chandelier hanging from the high ceiling that gives off warm lighting through out the tavern part of the Inn. There are two large tables on either side of the room. The light seems to be brighter around them, but there are no lamps. The only thing that might give off any light would be the half-burned candles sitting in the middle of the tables, but they are not lit. In the back of the room, is the bar and in front of it, another large table sits. The bartender welcomes you with a smile and a stern look that warns you to behave yourself, or else. To one side of the bar, hanging on the wall beside the many shelves there is a large sign in which gave the Inn its name. The words are written in a bright red color that seems to glow so that no one would miss it.. The sign reads?
User Image
The look on the bartender's face and the looks on the other employees' faces, tell that they will uphold this rule.
The many shelves next to the sign, holds many bottles of different colors and shapes. They also hold a few small barrels of different drinks for the customers. The bartender grabs a bottle and takes a cup from under the bar counter and pours themself a small amount and sets the bottle down. they smile and then watch the people in the room as they takes a small drink. To the right of the bar, there is a large oak door, much like the one that you entered through. The door is open now and you can hear a voice from inside. It is a man's voice and you get up to see what is going on.

Kitchen

When you peek through, it is a large kitchen. Despite the old appearance of the rest of the Inn, the kitchen looks newer. On the far side of the room, you see a large fireplace. It is not lit because it is no longer winter. To the right wall, the man is standing over a heated pot full of stew. He hears you and welcomes you in and allows you to get a better look at the place. When you walk in, the smell of fresh baking bread and beef stew can be smelled through out the kitchen. To your left, there is a large archway that leads outside. You decide to walk out there to check it out. When you walk through the stone arch, you see it opens up onto a patio. The smooth stone floor from the kitchen continues out there and to the left, is a large stone oven. The bread scent is strongest in there behind the small iron door. The man comes out there and grabs a hold of a lever on the door with a heavy cloth. He lifts it up and opens it to reveal a fairly large oven. He grabs the oven spoon and slides it under the bread and pulls it out. He then closes and latches the oven door and walks back into the kitchen. The patio is covered by a roof with pillars of stone hold it up and two walls. One behind the stone oven, and one to the opposite side of the medium sized patio. Only the front of the patio is open and that is covered with thin netting to keep the insects and other pest out. For the larger pests, there is a large German Shepard/Airedale mix dog lying on the floor. He looks up at you with sleepy eyes and his tail wags a bit, making thumps on the stone floor. The dogs name is Amuse and he protects the kitchen from raccoons and thieves. There is a chair to the right of the doorway in which you can sit in to face part of the forest and the ocean. You walk back into the kitchen an look at the many modern appliances, most of which were hidden behind old hard-wood cupboards. You wander back into the main room of the Inn and then notice two large stairways leading up to the second story.

Library And Bed Rooms.

This is where the rooms are in which people can stay. It also includes the bathrooms and the medical room. You walk up the large staircase to the right side of the tavern. When you reach the top, someone greets you. A large black cat stares at you with his silver eyes. His name is Sasuke and is just one of three tavern cats that keep the rats and mice away. You were certain that you would meet his siblings shortly while looking around. You turn to the left first and see an open room with no door. It opens up and is fairly large. It is full of books and scrolls. Some look just as old as the tavern. Here as you thought, you found the smaller of the two black cats. Gigi is perched on the large desk to the right of the library. She is looking down at one of the books and it almost seems as if she is actually reading it. Her ear twitches and she graces you with a glance. He eyes are a golden color and her fur is shorter than her older brother?s but she looks just as intelligent. The light in this room is brighter than the lights in the main tavern room. They are also warmer than the tavern room as well. Probably to make it easier to concentrate on what you were studying. Most of the light comes from a large colored glass window on the far side of the room. The large window has a picture of a large Dragon, a silver firedrake to be precise. It?s wings are extended half way and it is reared up on its hind legs while blowing a massive inferno from its mouth and nostrils. You walk back out onto the second story walkway and turn to the left this time. There are many rooms, some of which have been locked because people stay in them. All together, there are about six rooms that people are allowed to stay in. Each room has their own bathroom so there won?t be any fighting over you gets to use it next. The rooms are nicely furnished with large warm beds and a large cabinet for clothes. There is also a large dresser on the opposite wall of the bed for more things. Each room has a large window for each of its occupants. Right now, all the windows are open except for the screen. You walk out of the room and close the door behind you. You look down the hall in which at the end of the bedrooms, the wall from the main tavern stops.

Medical Room And Training Room/Armory

The hall continues on to two more rooms. Thee large windows let light flood the hall. You walk up to the first door and open it. It is a smaller room. A little smaller then one of the bedrooms yet you wonder how so much stuff can fit in it all. To the far side of the room, many different herbal plants can be seen growing in front of the large window that spanned the entire far wall. On the right wall, there are many shelves with jars setting on top, most of which are clear and filled with medicinal herbs and fungus. Others you can?t see their contents but they have a label on the side of the containers. Most of the names you have never heard of before and so you dismiss them. There are also many cupboards mostly containing wraps and bandages. Some contain slings and other strange medical tools witch are kept in an airtight glass container for sanitation reasons. You turn to look at the right wall and see a few beds. All of them are so clean and tidy it seems that no one has ever used them before. You grow bored of looking at the room so you leave. You look at the last door to the left of you and slowly open it. You are shocked to see many weapons hanging on the walls. Anything from Naginatas to crossbows, to Kunai to maces could be found in there. The room had many strange weapons in which one could practice with. The room was almost as large as the main tavern room. On the wooden floors, tatami mats lay. Most likely to break the fall of a trainee or to keep the beautiful wooden floors from being scuffed. On the far right wall, there hangs a crest on the stones of the chimney of the fireplace that was below. Three large silver lions can be seen on the large red shield and decorative gold and green leaves can be seen on the outside of that. On either side of the crest, wooden training swords of many different shapes and even wooden training knives and naginatas can be seen hanging on the wall. Next to the door, against the wall, sat three large and long benches made for trainees to rest upon. The room was well lit with its two large windows. The ceiling was high in this room as well and it came to a point where it fallowed the roof. The rafters were exposed and two windows also opened up from the ceiling. A rope dangled down from one of the larger rafters and it led to a large balcony up in the rafters themselves. The balcony almost seemed like another room. This was for people to take lunch breaks or just rest in the cool breeze coming from the two windows. There was also a small bench up there as well. A safety wall about three feet high kept young?ins from falling from the high balcony. From the balcony, a teacher or guardian could watch their students train from above. With a small smile on your face, you walk out of the hallway until the hall opened up again. To the right, you decide to go down the other flight of stairs instead of going all the way to the other side of the tavern. Just at the end of the stairs, another large archway opens up into another large room. This room was directly below both the medical room and the training room.

The Living Room

This room was for everyone who was a regular to hangout with their friends. At the far side where you saw the stone before, sat the large fireplace. Above the mantle hung a small shield with two swords crossed behind it. Setting on the mantle itself, were few items. Three candles could be seen on one side and perhaps a few strange items from an old ship. On the left side of the stone hearth the tools for tending the fire sat. On the right, a large crate, full of firewood rested.
User Image
When you actually stepped into the room, you had to take a step down. In the middle of the room was a large seating area with a large table in the middle, The seating area, you had to step down into with a couple of large wide steps that surrounded the entire thing. There were a few old items from a ship such as an old navigation wheel and a few old maps. There were other things such as pictures and antiques. On the left wall, there are many windows to light the room. On the left wall, there is a long counter and a few chairs for people to eat if the main room fills up. On this counter, you meet the final tavern cat. His white fur shines in the sunlight that is shinning through the window above the counter and he is all sprawled out on his back sleeping. With his legs pointed in four different directions, and his chin pointed towards the ceiling you can hear small snores. You can?t help but chuckle at this goofy cat as he sleeps in the sun. This cat?s name is Shoushi and is the middle sibling of the three tavern cats. You leave Shoushi to his napping and decide to open the trap door just inside the archway. It opens up towards the counters and you look inside. There is a strange green glow that lights the passageway down into the earth.

Cellar/Winery

When you step down the stairs you realize that it is the soft moss that is growing on the stone walls. It is a beautiful moss and helps light the stairways enough to see until you reach the light switch at the bottom of the stairs. When you flick on the light, a large room full of wine shelves and stored food. Next to the staircase wall, rests many barrels of assorted liquors, all of which are marked and sorted for easy reference. Apparently just for kicks, Kuroi, the manager, put a paper guard pig on one of the barrels.
User Image
Extending on down the walls, there are many shelves of fine wines and other tavern drinks. All of the drinks have their own shelves to make it easier for whoever is retrieving a replacement bottle for the bar.
User Image
On further down more large barrels can be found. Some of which contain water and other drinks.
User Image
On the other side of the room, there are shelves and cabinets full of stored food. All of which is kept in cans for preservation purposes. All of the food and drink in the cellar could probably sustain a small army for months on end. With that, you walk back to the stairs and shut off the light. You climb out of the trap door and close the trap door once again. You walk back in the main tavern room and sit down feeling content about touring the entire Inn, Roof to winery.
