Have you all heard of the new movie Gerry has signed up for? It's called "300" and it was adapted by Frank Miller the guy who wrote Sin City. There's more info Here It sounds awesome...I can't wait!

"Gerard Butler has signed on to star in 300, the adaptation of the Frank Miller graphic novel that Zack Snyder is directing for Warner Bros. Pictures, according to the Hollywood Reporter. 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The studio is looking to make the film in the style of the graphic novel, which Miller wrote and drew in 1998. Heavy use of greenscreen and virtual sets is being mapped out but with an eye toward maintaining the look of the graphic novel." The film opens on March 9.

the movie sounds interesting enough from what has been posted so far! he seems to like to play period roles

it does sound very interesting i can't wait to check it out when its in the theatre.

It Hasnt even been made yet.

But it will be made on green screen much like how Sin City was done, so all of it will be CG.

Oh, and it's Greek History, not Mythology.... just had to get that out there. Second Persian war between Greeks and Persians. King Leonidas actually did keep off thousands of Persians with only 300 men. In the end, they were betrayed by a townsman, and the Persians got into Greece anyway..... King Leonidas and the 300 spartans all died.....

.... But this means that he's adding another movie where he is dying....
With the exception of Phantom, he's died in almost every movie he's been in, and this wont be an exception.....Dead in Tomb Raider, Reign of Fire, Dracula 2000, Timeline (once they had returned to modern times, he'd been dead 650 yrs), and other movies that i havent seen yet.....
