So, I was surfing the web one night, trying to feed my Avatardedness... And I came across this on Wikipedia. Wiki Avatar--Film adaptation!Apparently, M. Night Shyamalan has been signed to make a trilogy of Avatar: the Last Airbender, one movie for each season! Luckily, though, it sounds like Shyamalan and Mike&Bryan really like each-other's work, so they're all going to be collaborating together, which is good to hear. So, what do you guys think? I'm excited myself, but me and my friend are a little nervous about M Night directing and writing it. Don't get us wrong, M Night's alright, but all of his movies are so...Quiet. And the Village actually disappointed us... But Yeah, I'm excited. biggrin

Yeah! I heard about this a while ago, and I'm really excited to it. Hopefully, they keep all the Zutara-y goodness it. Especially the pirate scene. 3nodding
However, I am a little nervous about what M. might do... Though, I guess he wouldn't be able to go far, since Mika and Bryan are working on it too...

Yeah, I actually heard from my friend that he wrote a script but Mike and Bryan basically rejected it for it being...to off-storyline, or whatever...
So, at least it's still majorly in the hands of it's loving creators! smile
And yesh, the pirate scene. Zuko's 'saving her from the pirates' line. Full of win and a must-have! mrgreen

Yeah, I'm gonna squeel with joy if they put that scene in the movie. But, if they don't, we can still look forward to the fight scenes in the finales.
Ooh, I wonder if they'll put the butt-grab from 'Bato of the Watertribe' in.

Yes, the battle scenes should be awesome, even though some people on other forums are worried about how the quality of the Bending effects will go...You can do a lot with computer animation these days, though. As long as they remain true to the forms each element has, I'm not too worried.
Because yay, Mike and Bryan! the protective daddies of Avatar! ^3^

They should get a '#1 Dad' shirt.

If they can make uber-fighting transforming robots and dragons and graphic explosions like they do in Hollywood, some spiffy Marital Arts moves with fireballs and water shouldn't be too hard.
They just need to find some good actors who aren't afraid to get a little beat up for the sake of properly telling the story. Goodness knows there's going to be a TON of wire-removal stunts and of course the fighting scenes they're going to have to do.
If I was in better shape, was better looking and any good at acting, I'd so be pestering M. Night for a part! I'd like to be an extra, though. Mea nd my friend are always thinking up crazy things to do if we were involved in LOTR as extras^^
We would have FUN, I'll tell you that much ^^ Fun involving swords biggrin

xD Being an extra in Avatar would be so awesome. It'd be fun to do really wierd thing in the background, and then see if anyone notices while watching the movie.
Ooh, I wonder if Foamy's gonna be in the movie. xD

I'm sure there's more, but it's been a while since we really sat down and geeked out about LOTR. Weird background acting is basically me and Aki Yasu's Acting fantasy. Screw big parts, we just want to be the crazy people in the background! xd
And you know, with my hair, I could probably pull off the Frothers bit! I noticed that he and I have very similar hairstyles! Though his is longer... *squeegurgle*!! domokun

RockyRoadSmith I wonder how they'll make Appa in these movies? Same. They'll probably have to use computer graphics for him and all the other creatures, since I doubt they'll actually be able to find an animal that looks like him.

With today's cg's they should be able to make the animals and bending look realistic, but hopefully they get good actors with similar voices, or do voice overs.
