SOE has finally admitted that they ******** up Star Wars Galaxies and they're giving up on it. There are now rumors that Bioware is going to create the new Star Wars MMO! A couple things supporting that rumor is that Bioware's website has a section explaining their recent partnership with LucasArts and they are now hiring for a new MMO project. I'm really hoping that it is going to be a Star Wars MMO. I think Bioware would do a good job even though this would be their first MMO- every other game they have created has been amazing. I will be posting more if I find out anything else.

That's sweet. I saw that BioWare was teaming up with LucasArts, but I didn't think that it might be a MMO. And I have to admit, if they did make a StarWars MMO... It could be epic.

I, personally, can't wait for the Firefly and Star Trek MMO's.
Although I miss mah Guild Wars and always wanted to get into Galaxies. 'Cept after everyone said it started to suck.

Red Scully I, personally, can't wait for the Firefly and Star Trek MMO's.
Although I miss mah Guild Wars and always wanted to get into Galaxies. 'Cept after everyone said it started to suck. Dude! We should try Guild Wars again sometime (if I can find my cd's), I haven't played it in like forever! whee

We should try Guild Wars again sometime (if I can find my cd's), I haven't played it in like forever! whee I think I have my cd's somewhere in my closet... Except Guild Wars is boring... So I don't know if finding the cd's would be worth it... lol We should actually try WoW again... Huzzah! lol

Oh, since tiff sucks at updates, it is Official, Bioware is working on a new star wars MMO. It is going to follow the same time line and story arc as KOTOR, and may include some of the same characters. I am MUY EXCITEDO. Hurrah for bioware.

It is going to follow the same time line and story arc as KOTOR, and may include some of the same characters. I am MUY EXCITEDO. Hurrah for bioware. Well thank you for keeping us up to date... And this is very exciting news, for I will cancel my WoW account and play this once it comes out. Has there been any word on a estimated release date?

Alright, so I have done some investigating of my own since I just beat Mass Effect and have gone back into full support mode for BioWare... They haven't actually said what the project is yet. On their site and all gaming sites its still just considered "Untitled Lucas/BioWare Project". There is still a lot of speculation as to what is going on with it... But it terms of the MMO, that is actually a completely different project steming from BioWares new Austin, TX studio... Which is still untitled.
But if anyone else has information on this, please post it! I want to know!!!!

Tstallion All i know is that a KOTOR MMO whould be crazy awesome sweet. I completely agree with this... Unfortunately BioWare and Lucas have stated its not KOTOR... Of course they could be lying... But right now everyone has pretty counted KOTOR or even Star Wars in general out... It makes me sad.

Well one of the worst kept secrets in the gaming community is finally official. KOTOR MMO First LookI have a feeling I would either follow the path of the Sith or maybe a bounty hunter... I would be a tough choice though... BUT ITS FINALLY FREAKING OFFICIAL!!!! GAH! I can't wait for this game... Finally play something other then WoW.
