Let's get started off with the basics, then:

Purpose:

Vexen's Lab was founded to give the thoughtful and literate minds of our Organization the chance to introduce and debate theories regarding the Kingdom Hearts universe. Here is the place to post that new Nomura interview, to wax eloquent on the heart, to explore light, and to postulate on the nature of Darkness... let your imagination run free, and it'll all unfold from there!

Rules and Protocols:

Be literate. No l33t or chatspeak, and at least try your best with spelling, ne?
Justify your opinions. Don't just leave us hanging!
Respect other members. Yes, all guild rules still apply, regardless of the intensity of the debate in progress.

Those within the lab who do not follow protocol will first receive a warning; if the infraction continues their post will be edited manually by yours truly or another crew member, and tagged as such; and on the third transgression, the post in question will be deleted. So, read and obey! ^^

That being said... go forth, young ones, and EXPERIMENT!

I'm always up for a good debate. :3

I just look forward to seeing all the things people have to say about the issues at hand... and to finally getting these notes to some use. *waves notebook happily*

Oh, no, not at all. Actually, both of the theories you set forth on that topic are ones I've either heard many times before from fanfiction or considered in my conversations with Regulus. I myself have subscribed to them whenever I needed to justify the fact that Nobodies seem to have emotions a lot of the time. XD

But then, I read this author called Luc Court. The way he pictured the Nobodies - as quiet, methodical, distinct but flatline creatures of habit, mentally brilliant but emotionally dead, was just spot-on - so perfect for the Organization. He writes stories with all the existential conflict of non-existence, but without the pathos that usually comes with it. He effectively strips away all illusions of humanity, but yet the characters are still so sympathetic on so many levels.

So now I'm thinking he's probably got a better idea of what it is to be a Nobody than I. But the theories you put forth are still helpful when needed. ^_^

I also have one of my own which I will post now in the thread in question.

XD I wondered if you had. His stories are so incredible!~ They really are a world apart from anybody else's, I've seen others emulate his style, but nobody can quite hold a candle that I've found. And he seems to be required reading for any serious theorist on KH... A Sorrow of Magpies is classic. :3 I actually have taken about two or three pages of notes just on the theories he puts forth in that story. XD

Hey, don't feel bad! SMB is just playing through for her first time, as well. XD Personally, I've never beaten CoM (hours of research there, too), and I very nearly gave up at the very battle you're speaking of. (Demyx is SUCH A CHEAP SHOT. Kill ten water clones? WTF is that?!!! stressed ) I can see your hours of research have paid off. :B

... if I lived anywhere near your geographic area, I would offer to try and beat Demyx for you. XD You could watch me curse my tongue from my mouth. Sadly, though, I don't think it's gonna happen.

XD Lucky. My Demyx-fights are always made of lose. XD The battling is no trouble, his attacks are cake to avoid, but the killing things quickly... naw. I don't do that. I like to draw things out epically, I guess. XD None of this shoddy, quick business for me.

But that really sucks. You don't own a PS2? Poor baby... I didn't get mine until last Christmas, so I can't really talk, but still.
