Sitting on the edge of the large fountain, Cariseka basked in the sunlight streaming down and watched it reflect in the water's rippling surface. This basking, this viewing of a sun was one of the few things that Cariseka enjoyed about having left her den. It was a different kind of warmth and light from what she was familiar with. In a way it was almost better.

However, for the young Selonian Sith in training not much else that was good could be said about her current situation. Her first conscious experience with the force had left her questioning what she was to represent. It had left her frightened of the power she was to wield and concerned that perhaps others had been right and that it had been good for the Jedi and Sith to die out so long ago. That Force users were cursed.


Watching the light intermingle with the water and distort her own reflection, Cariseka tried to figure out what to do now.

Cariseka had watched the strange other child soak themself. Was there a point to that? Did they drink that way or perhaps something on their head was hot. She wasn't sure, she wasn't even sure what the other child was.

When the other called to her from across the fountain she smiled a bit " Hello, you are ok now? "

Cariseka was amused by the other, like some of the species she had seen so far they had long hair. Personally Cariseka had no clue how they could do that. It took long enough time to keep her relatively short fur clean nevermind having long hair and skin that must need scrubbing all the time.

" I am Cariseka of, the Sith den " The young Selonian said slowly. As she spoke her tail she shifted down he was sitting and left her tail drop into the water. It was cool and pleasant and made the the water ripple more as she slowly swept it back and forth.

Cariksea nodded " Word is temple yes , still think of as a den. If act like a den then is a den as far as it matters. Den is also easier to say." Cariksea's basic was decent but not nearly as strong as her native selonian, had she been able to speak that perhaps she might have said things differently.


Cariseka gave a soft sigh as water slashed into here wetting some patches of fur and robes. her people were once water dwellers but no longer. Her body and fur were still somewhat adapted for water but she'd never swam before in her life.

" Are you finding your path nice?" Was she alone , she wondered in having doubts about why she was here and the force. another's opinion might help. In retaliation for the splash of Jiri's entry in the water she lifted her tail near the surface and swung it towards the other girl letting a wave rise towards her.

Cariseka shook her head "I am fertile female, we are for bearing young and ruling the dens. Even if my people had many stories of Jedi and Sith I would not learn of them. One , the one who is my sponsor is sterile female. She knows some of Jedi and sith which she tells me but only stories she has heard from non Selonians so their words cannot fully be trusted."

Looking up at the other girl she smiled " It is good that you like your path. I am finding things different here. different and not good." She confessed.

Heading filling up with confusing though again she sighed and slipped into the water dropping to all fours to that her head was barely above the water. The sensation was strange but it helped to cool her body which was overheating from the prolonged unfamiliar sunlight exposure.

"Where I am from is just den and family and is good. We don't need more, search for more."

Half paddling and half walking in the water Carkiseka thought about the Jedi girl's words. It was true that different wasn't necessarily wrong. This place was not home but it in and of itself wasn't bad. The other's here were nice and worked like a den, for the good of all,. Giving up their freedom to make the universe a better place.

Maybe if the people were good then the Force couldn't corrupt them. For all she had been reasurred of other things Cariseka still didn't fully trust that the force itself wasn't dangerous.

The Selonian girl stilled at the second set of words. " Can understand punishing. Whole den suffer for mistakes of others, it encourages den members to do only good. Also one side cannot have war alone. Must be two fir a fight. " Cariseka carefully stood to face the other girl , dripping water. " Understand better now, you are chosen to be special, to deny the gift is wrong. Perhaps all are chosen and should not deny this"

Cariseka nodded slowly, she appreciated the words Jiri spoke even if she wasn't sure what to do about them. Especially since the girl had admitted her kind was not honest, that they warred and were accused of wrongs. Jiri was nice but she was not Selonian and thus she and her opinions could not fully be trusted.

" I am appreciating your thoughts, but maybe I should talk to the masters." Cariseka frowned, she did not want to be a burden this easy. She was supposed to be proving she was strong and capable. " There is still much that is confusing. I do want this though, want to show that I am .. worthy."

Jiri was still very much a stranger but she was also chosen. More importantly to talk things over and explain feelings was the Selonian way. To hide things from other den members could only lead to trouble.

Sinking back into the cool refreshing water Cariseka blew bubbles in frustration. Speaking with another had given the young girl more to think about but hadn't really answered her questions.

With the water not so deep she'd have to figure out swimming Cariseka processeded to move about the fountain floor keeping her body cool while her mind swam in circles and she tried to reevaluate her position.
