Mr. Paulson substituted for Mr. Purdy once or twice. Shampoo-can (/Mousse-san/Super Sailor Neptune for those playing the home game) Faries and Jared and I used to play basket ball with him in 6th grade.
If you can remember that long ago. I know you mentally blocked out the entire Rapture trip, which might have mentally damaged memories prior to 9th grade. I did repress those memories...every now and then I'll have a nightmare involving a kayak, a constipated whale, and a dancing sugar packet.
If you really think about it though, my addiction to Tic Tacs can be traced all the way back to the Rapture. There was nothing to eat, so I developed 'sugar high' into an art form...after weaning myself off the sugar (and screwing up anyone willing to hit it with me) I needed something lighter to maintain the jolt...enter ticity tacs.
