Pael sighed as he got closer and closer to the courtyard. Hadn't he just been here? It felt like he was going in circles. When he opened the door, the fresh air and open space washed over him. Feeling a bit more of his usual confidence, he fully entered the courtyard and sat against a wall. "Well," He stated to noone in particular, "I guess it's not that bad."

"Hey! Gii come back here! I said get back here!"

Oh, jeez. He was going to get in trouble, wasn't he? No one told him he couldn't bring the gizka, that much was certain, but then again Jhordaan was probably expected to keep the little beast under control, wasn't he? Though it wasn't like Gii to run off like that. Maybe it was just the effect of being in a new place... Most of the time, the friendly little thing could be found hopping around Father's ship, which, while large, was nothing compared to the openness of the Temple, particularly the courtyard.

And, as one might expect, the creature stopped once it was fully exposed to the sunlight, settling and chirring quietly. This, however, was not so good for its owner; Jhordaan, who certainly hadn't expected his pet to just stop, was soon skidding and flailing, and then flying and finally tumbling and skidding along the ground as he leaped over Gii, but didn't quite make his footing.

"Aa-aaaah!" He half-whined, half-cried out as he rolled, then stopped, panting softly as he blinked and tried to figure out what happened. His hands were all scuffed up now... and his face. But it wasn't such a bad thing, and he soon sat up, only sniffling a little and grumping at the gizka as it hopped over to him.

"W-why'd you have t-to do that, Gii?" he mumbled unhappily. If he'd been paying attention, he likely would have noticed the soft pulse of emotion from the other being in the courtyard, but instead he was too busy focusing on his momentary anger at Gii and the small welts on his palms.

Pael jumped slightly at the sudden commotion. He saw a red figure in the distance, was it that kid who had gotten shoved by the older lady?

"Hey!" He called, getting up and jogging over to the pair. What happened? Pael wondered, did he get attacked by the old lady again?

"Oh, you're not him." Pael commented quietly as he got closer. "Hey, are you okay? I heard yelling." He said louder, in what he hoped was a friendly voice. He still didn't get why he was feeling so lonely.

"H-huh...? Oh! Oh, hi!"

Jhordaan blinked, staring and surprised at being caught off guard. He'd always been told to pay attention to his surroundings! And this one here, he felt so... well, they were in a place with all sorts of people who had all sorts of emotions. It wasn't his fault he'd not picked up on this one.

But almost immediately the young zeltron decided it was his duty to cheer the stranger up. What was he, anyway? His colouring kind of reminded him of Father, but the little horns...

"Oh, um. Hahaha, I'm sorry~ Gii ran away," he explained, beaming broadly, although a little nervously. It wasn't often he'd been able to meet people near his age. "I was tryin' to catch 'im, then he just stopped and I kinda tripped over 'im. I'm okay. Thanks for asking."

Jhordaan smiled, scooping up the gizka headbutting him, then cuddling it for a few moments before holding it out to Pael. The armless creature cooed and squirmed cutely, not liking being held up in such a manner. It much preferred to be held close.

"See? S'Gii. And I'm Jhordaan Tri'kule, just got here... Is everything okay?"

He lifted his brows a little bit, almost worriedly, as he set the gizka down; the creature hopped around, then proceeded to headbutt Pael, seeking attention. The zeltron couldn't help but ask; the boy felt sad, and he just couldn't stand that, even if he was much more accustomed to it than if he'd grown up on his race's homeworld.

"Yeah, everything's fine. I'm just missing my family a bit, I guess," Pael stated, feeling a little better for the company. "I'm - oof" He exhaled softly as the small creature hit him.

"I'm Pael Kor," he continues, bending down to stroke the little creature, "I'm one of the new Sith students, I guess." Pael smiles, pride in every word. Suddenly, his grin shifts to a frown. "You have been to see the Masters, haven't you? So many people are showing up late." Though not unfriendly, there was a slightly accusatory tone to Pael's voice.

"I understand that feeling... I've never been away from Father. It's really ... weird."

Jhordaan frowned a little at the shift from smile to frown; he couldn't stand shifts to the negative! Why couldn't people be happy again? As though sharing his sentiment, Gii bounced and headbutted at Pael's hand, nuzzling into the attention greedily. The zeltron snorted softly at his pet's craving for attention, but soon enough he cast a wide smile at the other boy, nodding a bit and pushing himself up to dust himself off.

"Yup! I just got done... well, not JUST now but not too long ago. I was settlin' in and Gii ran off and... well I guess you know the rest. Haven't been here long at all. You're the first person I've met, besides the Masters. It's nice to meet ya, Pael."

The red boy offered his smile for a little longer, then his mouth made a little 'o' shape and he chuckled happily. "I'm a Sith too. That means we'll be working in the same Temple, right? Maybe we can work together sometime. Or be rivals!"

He laughed jokingly at the idea, then bent down to scoop his gizka up and tickle its belly lightly. His enthusiasm and happiness was naturally infectious, though that might've been more from his race's emotional influence than just his charisma.

Or maybe he was just charismatic.

Upon hearing that Jhordaan had indeed seen the masters, Pael's face broke back into a grin. "That's good, it's rude to keep people as important as the masters waiting." Pael laughed with Jhordaan, "I'll be a tough rival though," he states, leaning against a tree, "Are you sure you want to risk it?"
