This is a project that I did for a contest in KaPow. It had to have something to do with the 80s and the characters we play. For more on Jaeger Ayers from

Footnotes....
Page 1: The comic in question would be G.I.Joe issue 21. That was quite the sought after comic among my brother and his friends. Really hard to come by considering we lived on a military base in the Philippines when it came out. Rumor was it was a printing error, but I really doubt it. Still, there were no captions or word balloons at all.
The T-shirts that changed colors with body heat actually came out in the early 90s. I cheated. Sue me.
Page 2: Beta. That's right. I went there. And I bet I'm only one of a handful of people around here that remember it. Why "Splash"? Why not?
Douglas is an original character. Despite some opinions, no he is not based on my buddy Chris. If her was, he'd be hunting down Street Fighter video games.
Page 3: Yes, that is a Care Bears shirt. Yes, those jeans are acid washed. And hell yes, that's a Swatch! If you didn't have one of those, you just sucked. I had one, and yet was no cooler.
Page 4: Why Ram Man? Because it's funny. The sky over Jaeger may look cracked. That's because it is. Jaeger's in a domed city. Almost everyone has cranial jacks, which is what the wires that look like are coming out of the back of Douglas's head is plugged in to. Jaeger doesn't have one, which is why he's using the old land line.
Page 5: Keep in mind, Finder takes place in the distant future. These toys and there stories were created only 20 years ago and have intricate continuities that people (read: geeks) know even the obscure facts about. How will future generations view these stories that where put out as cartoons, comics are even movies?
Can anyone name all the references in the word balloons? You can? Dork.
Page 6: Yeah the big guy only has four fingers, and no that's not a mistake. He's an artificial being. The tech has gotten to the point where it's law to place inperfections on the forms to distinguish them from people. Four fingers is a common trait.
Do I really see obcessive toy collecting as idolatry? Nah, but with some folks it's not much of a stretch.
Page 7: Lucienda is a another original character inspired by the Tom Waits song.
Page 8: Yeah, ol' Ram Man was part of the second series of Masters of the Universe figures.
Page 9: No, Jaeger isn't flying, but he knows the city inside out. If he's going to jump out a window, most likely he's got a spot to land.
