As if in answer to the two, Lugia finally burst from the waters below, finally free of the netting as he sent an Aeroblast at the Neo Rocket ships that dotted the ocean, sending many of them under. The Mask of Ice, on the main ship, cursed, sending orders to retreat for now. After all, they had the piece of the sword, that was enough for now.
Lugia hovered over the ocean, flapping slowly to keep aloft, watching disdainfully at the retreating ships, sending one more Aeroblast at them for good measure. The legendary bird then turned its attention to the two trainers flying nearby.
{{XD I never noticed until now, but those waves look more like clouds...}}
'Thank you,' Lugia communicated telepathically to the two girls. 'Without your help, I shudder to think of what would have become of me. I take it you two are here to stop the sword from being re-formed?'
"That's right," Chloe nodded, as Kaze contented to amuse himself by counting the number of fish in a school of Remoraid below as he kept Chloe aloft, "We're here to do just that. From what we've gathered, although we don't know too much, it sounds like the sword will be much better off in pieces than as a whole blade..."
'Indeed it is,' Lugia agreed with a nod. 'There is a legend passed down, in the Sinnoh region I believe, although its used more as a tale than a warning...'
'A young man, callow and foolish in
innocence, came to own a sword.
With it, he smote Pokemon, which gave
sustenance, with carefree abandon.
Those not taken as food, he
discarded, with no afterthought.
The following year, no Pokemon
appeared. Larders grew bare.
The young man, seeking the missing
Pokemon, journeyed afar.
Long did he search. And far and wide,
too, until one he did find.
Asked he, "Why do you hide?"
To which the Pokemon replied
"If you bear your sword to bring
harm upon us, with claws and
fangs, we will exact a toll.
From your kind we will take our
toll, for it must be done.
Done it must be to guard ourselves
and for it, I apologize."
To the skies, the young man shouted
his dismay.
"In having found the sword, I have
lost so much.
Gorged with power, I grew blind
to Pokemon being alive.
I will never fall savage again.
This sword I denounce and forsake.
I plead for forgiveness,
for I was but a fool."
So saying, the young man hurled the
sword to the ground, snapping it.
Seeing this, the Pokemon disappeared
to a place beyond seeing... '
'That blade holds much danger, and it is not a positive thing to have someone out to reshape it to its former horror. I must ask your assistance, we must stop the blade from being reforged. For if that were to happen...' Lugia paused for a moment, head hanging slightly, 'I fear for the very world itself if that happens...'

Lugia nodded, 'I shall assist you, however, I won't be traveling with you. I shall meet you at Stark Mountain, as that is where the final battle shall take place. I feel as if it is my responsibility, since I was entrusted to guard the hilt of the blade.'
Chloe shrugged sheepishly, still not too familiar with talking to the legendary, "But I think its kinda our fault as well, since we came here to stop it from being stolen..."
'But you did save me,' Lugia smiled faintly, 'I am in both of your debt. Until we meet again...' with that, the legendary dove under the waters, most likely making the journey to Sinnoh.
"Well, I suppose that kind of wraps things up here..." Chloe murmured, shoulder sagging a bit. "I'm beat!"
"Think we should head out and train a bit before meeting up with the others?" she asked Train.

"Definitely," Chloe agreed with a laugh, "I can't wait to get a bite to eat and a quick rest at the Pokecenter, I'm sure you wouldn't disagree either, right, Kaz?" she asked to the Charizard beneath her, who nodded, yawning as he finished counting Remoraid.
"So want to meet back up at the Olivine Pokecenter, then figure out where to go from there?" Chloe asked. "I know Kaz can fly me, and you still have that charm from Celebi, right?" she asked.

Train glanced down at her clothes again as Chloe spoke, noticing how...beaten up they looked.
"Yuck. I need a new outfit, too. Meeting up at the Olvine PokeCenter? Definatly." She said, touching the charm around her neck to show that she still had it. They reflected cooly on the golden bell dangling from her collar.
"See ya, then!" She said, returning Taroth to his Pokeball. The charm was responding, which was obvious by the green light, and she didn't really know how to stop it.
"I can take you to Olvine real quick right now, if you like. The charm's sending me there, I'm pretty sure."
