Its hard to critisice the elderly now for their intense dislike of communism because for the majority of their life all they knew and where taught was communism was the enemy i doubt many of them actually know anymore then what they read in anti communist pamphlets

I must agree with you but only to a small extent. Yes they do not mix well in most cases here in the states but it has been often found that the elderly in Communist states are loyal to the beliefs. Also in Russia, where communism is "a thing of the past" many of the elderly and the youth are still very loyal to Lenin and the communist beleif.
