Welcome Morrigen, or Hou. Since Kura is tied up at the moment I guess that puts me in charge. Everything seems in order, I'll send you the invite, and Welcome to the Guild!

Yay! After losing my internet due to RL issues for over a year, I'm back! And coming back and finding the Warrior Monk Guild up and running makes me very very happy biggrin

Hopefully there are still spaces for old members such as I to join.

Name: Koga/Kage

Monk Title: The Divided One

Bio: Self assured and very confident in all situations, Koga tries to be the epitome of a Martial Artist. His feelings that his soul is out of balance and his short temper for that which he feels is an injustice torment him and force him to try to conquer these traits. With silver hair and gold eyes that seem to shine in dim lights, and a level of fitness that would leave Olympic athletes to shame. Koga makes for a memorable figure, even though his lack of height at 5 foot 2 inches would belay that fact. On top of all of this, Koga has a deep love for the fight and the purity it has in bringing out the natures of the combatants.

Backstory: The unawakened reincarnation of an Eternal Warrior (A warrior that has the ability to remember the skills of his past lives). Koga was marked at a young age to be extremely powerful, so powerful that the local wizard deemed the power too great for any one person to wield. He then preformed a great spell in order to split Koga's potential power in half. Sensing the boy's potential halved and not detecting any abnormal side effects from the spell, the wizard sent young Koga on a training journey, to become the village protector. On this journey Koga discovered that, while the wizard had split his potential energy in half, the energy had not taken the expected path and simply left his body, but had taken half of Koga's personality and made a new one. This new personality took the darker emotions; hate, anger, aggression, and lust, and took the name Kage (or Shadow) to lessen confusion.
As the two trained, Koga discovered that he had a natural affinity to the more defensive arts such as; tai chi, judo, and ki healing. While Kage had his talents in the more offensive arts such as; Ninjitsu, Kung fu, and offensive Ki moves.
Over time, Kage grew impatient and desired his own body. So he created the Kage Spear, which he then implanted his half of the soul into. However, because Koga and Kage were still the same soul, just with different personalities, Kage could not separate his 'body' from Koga's.
Kage then began a new plan. He would take over Koga's body, and shove Koga's personality into the furthest reaches of their mind. Thus creating a constant battle between the two personalities that has yet to be resolved. However, the with the possibility of Koga awakening to all the memories of his past lives at any time, no one knows how this battle with end.

Fighting Style: A self-created style with deep roots in Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan. Koga mastered both arts when he was 15 years old and has since been blending them into his own style. While an expert in both of these arts, Koga is more of a Ki Adept, focusing on mastering the powers his ki gives him over himself and his envronment.

Weapon: Gungnir, a fairly plain looking spear that seems to glisten with it's own light when held in Koga's hand.

Special Techniques: Koga's most commonly used techniques have been documented but no one knows of Kage's more secretive style. There are also a great many techniques that Koga has never displayed except to his defeated foes.

Koga/Kage Switch - By using this technique, Koga and Kage releases control of the body to the other personality. This technique allows them to use their full strength against the challenge they are facing. (Such as allowing Kage to be offensive but when healing and defense are needed, Koga will take control)

Ki Healing: This technique allows Koga to use parts of his Ki to heal others. Since this move targets the spirit, it can be used in a limited fashion to heal inanimate objects such as weapons, buildings, and landscapes.

Ki Shield: This technique projects a shield as wide and tall as Koga can reach his arms. The shield will block things that are energy in nature, such as spells, ki blasts, and beings made mostly of energy.

Roots of the Mountains: Using techniques developed from Tai Chi, Koga can become totally invulnerable but while doing this he also can not move or be moved by any force, including gravity and other natural forces.


Notes: Understand that Kage is not evil, and neither is Koga good, but rather aspects of one personality that has been split into its Yin and Yang.
