Tara fell into rhythm, paws beating against the earth like drums as she raced towards the water. Life rushed through her, pounding in her ears and pouring through her legs in a flood of sweet strength. She laughed outloud, reveling in the feeling...
The bank rushed up to meet her and she slid into the cool water, sending a fine spray into the air. She didn't see who won - and she didn't really care.
"You're looking for something too, aren't you?"
She thought she remembered him saying something like that, a while ago. That first time they met probably.
"... or someone?"

Katana'k let his wings curl upon his back, the wings on his forearms flatten against his muscle, he didn't need them to run, to use his own strength without wings was a wonderful thing to do now and then, it reminded him that he was alive. He watched as Tara spilled into the water, the mist that sprayed into the air and he skid to a halt.
She had won, but they both had own by finding the water.
When she spoke Katana'k was quiet for a moment, wondering if she would still continue into it, and he nodded his head letting his toes touch the cool water, "Yes, someone..." though his voice showed that he had not found them yet, that he was disappointed.
Damn white fluffball.
"Someday I'll find him, then I can finally settle it once and for all," he said while craning his neck down, lapping at the water as small droplets caught in his black mane.
His brother could not hide forever.

Tara lapped absently at the water, more focused on the god standing next to her than the liquid on her tongue. Hmm...
"Who is it, anyways?"
He sounded rather angry. She smirked slightly, but hid it as she bend over to clean spattered mud off of her legs. She knew SHE wouldn't want a god angry at her! Certainly not Katana'k, with his long fangs... she licked her own teeth and grinned wider.
"And wha'd they do to get you so upset?" She finished, bringing her head up and looking him in the eye, one brow cocked curiously. She wasn't really worried about asking too much, about pushing the limit. Who cared? Something would happen, or nothing. She would just ride out the storm and survive, like always.
Just survive.

"My brother." he stated simply, drolly, he didn't care. Katana'k hated his brother with a passion, wanted him dead, buried, to suffer before that time would come. Yes, adn he would deal it out. He hated the white fluff of a god, and wished to see him never walk upon the earth again. Fciking his tail Katana'k took a few steps from her.
She was asking too much, too much for him to handle.
She was traveling with some male, now this.
Grinding his fangs together for a split second, he pulled, away, turned away from her.
Mortals...it deals with mortals... he said within his mind as if she could hear. He wouldn't tell her, she didn't need to know.
"I should go...you should go...be with your friend." With that, the black agitated male was off, not even looking back this time. Everyone seemed to be moving on, everyone but him.

For a long moment she watched Katana'k leave, her face emotionless. Then she turned away with a shrug and took another drink. What did she care? She'd see him again, or she wouldn't.
Licking her lips, she turned and ambled towards the last place she'd seen Rune.
Stupid boys.
