The juv wadded her way threw the grasses, threw the unfamiliar terrain. All of these new scents, and sites. Yet she didn’t take it in. The child had been walking without end for days. Barely scraping by on the little of food she came across. She'd recently learned to hunt, but dared not to try again. In fear that something would come after her again...and this time no one would be there to protect her. The cub's fur was matted, her underbelly in a thick coat of brown and her normal vibrant pelt dulled. Her spine and ribs poked hardly out from her skin. Her stomach rumbled hollowly, causing a pain stricken grimace to come across her face. Though the child's thoughts where drawn elsewhere, the salty smell that lingered in the air, and the ground...shifted under her paws. Like in the desert. But what really held her curiosity was the continuous splashing sound, of...water? She was near water? Iola had never encountered the ocean before...today was going to be interesting.
