((I don't see that well, if I make my font smaller I'll have trouble reading it! lol))

Skye was worried at what she saw in Seiri's eyes. She seemed awfully tired, and sad. "Good thing I'm back home..." She had hope she could at least put a smile on her friend's face.
Accepting the small child gladly, she nodded, wondering what the hell did she mean. It seemed as if Jensen was ill, but she didn't want to ask and upset Seiri even more.
She just stayed there, playing with the little girl she had missed so much, until Nighteyes showed up.
"Oh, look who he is, my little puppy! You are a fine little puppy, aren't you?" She said laughing at the huge wolf. "Don't be scared, Kesla, it's just our little wolfy saying hi! Now this is what I call a good welcome! You seem more happy to see me than any of my human friends!" And always laughing, she caresses the wolf's hears in her playful manner.

(it's fine. Keep your font size)

Helping her lover into the kitchen, she smiled at Skye again. "Nighteyes, there you are!" She said with a laugh.
The wolf barked happily, like a puppy, and stood up on his back paws to rest his paws on Jensen's shoulder's and lick his face. Jensen let go of Seiri to hug the playful wolf allowing Nighteyes to help keep him standing.
He'd always been ill, in some ways, considering the torture and privation, it was just that he'd taken a slight turn for the worse. But he was doing well enough again. Nighteyes dropped to all fours again, and leaned against Jensen's legs. Tongue out and tail wagging, he looked up at Skye. She had food, and the wolf wanted some. For all he'd been hunting the entire night. Silly thing. Then again, people food was a real treat.
"Move fuzzy," Jensen said lightly, pushing the wolf gently away, as he managed to settle into one of the chairs.
Nighteyes promptly put his flat skulled head on Jensen's knee, already begging for scraps. It elicited a quiet chuckle from the man, who calmly said "You won't like fruit, I promise."
"Well Skye, for not having found anybody, you sure found some good food," she said with a laugh, hugging the younger woman again and taking her daughter back. Kesla was usually a happy enough baby. So she was doing fine right then. She was almost half a year, and was laughing and smiling constantly. And occasionally liked to try and eat adult food, but it was generally stuff like a tiny bit of stew, or some mashed up banana or what have you. "Well everyone sit down, looks like we've got some food to be eating," she said with a laugh. "You too, Corwen," she said with a smile.

Nighteyes. He sneezed again. It was always worse in the mornings. Probably because Pepper liked to sleep curled up in his face. Which wasn't anyone's fault but his own, as of he'd kept the squirrel of his own free will.

He looked up at Seiri like 'huh?' But sat down to join them in food times.

"You couldn't expect me to show up empty handed, it just wouldn't be right!" She answered to the hug, and gave Kelsa back to her mother. "You know, that baby is getting heavy! One of these days she'll be all grown up, running around and picking our pockets!"
Sitting down as well, not far from the couple, Skye smiled "Yes,this is how I like it! Sitting together to eat a meal. That's what families do." She was eyeing Jensen carefully. He looked far worse than when she had left.
"Hey, Kesla, think mum will let you have a bit of sweetened milk? I actually found real sugar, the white type!"

The baby, from the safety of her mother's arms, burbled happily, tugging on her mother's long hair, before holding out her arms to her father, demanding his attention. At which point he lifted her from Seiri's arms, and took her into his own. Settling her into his lap, as of he couldn't hold her for long in his arms, she made content sounds, and settled quietly for the most part. "Dunno if sugar's good for babies," he said curiously, glancing at his lover. She shrugged right back, and he looked at Kesla. The baby didn't appear to be hungry, but perhaps later, when she was. Setting food on his own plate, as did the others (we're going to assume) he hadn't given himself much. It wasn't like he didn't realise Skye was staring at him as surreptitiously as she could. It wasn't like he was stupid, or not going to pay attention.
He'd come empty handed... then Kesla gave off one of her baby shrieks of annoyance, because no one was minding her, and he smiled a little. She'd be a demanding little thing... tempted to just put her on the floor with Nighteyes, she'd come to no harm, but instead he tickled her tummy and she giggled happily.

"Food looks good," he said to Skye. Considering the man rarely spoke, outside of necessity, paying anyone a compliment was rare.

"Well if she decides to pick anyone's pockets, she'll find herself in a spot of trouble, won't she?" Seiri said with a smile in Skye's direction. But as usual, her attention was primarily focused on the man beside her. She often reached out to touch his arm or shoulder during the meal, as if to reassure herself that he was truly there.

Skye looked at them tenderly. They looked like a perfect happy family, if seen by afar. And if you knew them close enough, you knew that if not perfect, they were at least happy together. She remembered the times before he had arrived, the sadness Seiri always had. It had been the time she had felt most helpless.
"Why, thank you Jensen!" She looked around. The mood had definitly improved. Yes, she was good at what she did.
"It's great to be back home." She said with a laugh, while serving herself with a big glass of milk to which she added sugar, and a piece of cake "I wouldn't mind having breakfasts like this more often...but then, we'd probably turn fat and lazy and spoiled..." Winking, she grabbed an apple "And I don't want to look anything like the lady who was going to enjoy this today! You know what? I think I actually did her a favor!" And with that last idea, she launched herself at her food.

Chuckling quietly, Jensen smiled at her. Another rarity. Considering he'd been tortured for over a year, it was almost impossible to gain a smile from him. And it never seemed to truly touch his eyes. They were a dull emerald colour, devoid of sparkle and life. Sometimes it seemed like it, just for a bit, but ... they were just empty. Dark and empty. Not that it would be easy to blame him or find fault with him because of it. But he wasn't the man he had been. Just a ghost, or a shell of him, trying hard to take the living's place. All the same, he was good for Seiri, and because of him, she had a daughter who made her happy. The man was healing. Not quickly, but he was. Then, once his body was stronger, his emotions and soul would heal, too.

"Well, I'm sure she'll lose some weight running around yelling at her servants, poor dears," Seiri said with an amused smile. She found it rather funny to think that Skye would say something like that, but at the same time, it was so typical of the girl. "You were gone too long," Seiri told her, feeling better. Yes, Skye was the life and spark of the group. The laughter and warmth, too. Corwen was the quiet steadfastness.... Seiri was the leader, for all it wasn't a job she was meant for, and Jensen... he didn't quite fit yet, but he was her lover, and that was enough for everyone. (I don't remember MFD's char's name...>.<)

Anneliese rolled over on her pallet, yawning and trying to blink the sleep out of her eyes. The smell of breakfast was wafting up through the floorboards to her nose, making her stomach rumble.

Sitting up, Anneliese smiled to herself and stretched. Usually food didnt appeal to her stomach in the mornings, but today she felt like she'd been starving.

After dressing, Anneliese made her way downstairs to the others with a smile on her face. Everyone was mostly already gathered around the table or at the counters.

"Good morning everyone" she chirped happily. It was a new day and she was excited for it.

"Good morning, Sleeping Beauty!" Skye called from between two gulps of sugared milk "I'd advise you to take a seat fast, these people eat like crazy!" She looked around, wishing it was true. Actually, even though they were enjoying the feast, no one was eating all that much. Not enough for her standarts, anyways. "How've you been doing?"

Given that Seiri rarely sat down to eat anymore, just took a few bites on the run here and there, she was eating a lot. And she'd taken some of the cake. For all cake wasn't really something she'd want for breakfast. Scones perhaps, or a good crossaint (sp?) or something more breakfasty and less desserty. However, she glanced at Jensen. He was eating, too. Feeling relieved, she was so thankful for Skye.
Smiling at Anneliese, she knew the girl didn't like large groups over much, but this was family. And she knew everyone well enough.
Lightly touching Jensen's neck, she slipped her hand on the back of it, gently rubbing for a half second.
For the most part, he was ignoring her while he ate. Slowly, methodically. Nighteyes found himself with some cake, which made his tail wag so hard every time it thumped against the table it shook.
Until Jensen used his booted foot to slide the wolf a foot away from the table or so.
Finishing his food, Jensen rose nodding his head to Skye, and the others, kissing Seiri on the forehead. There was a chance he would come and eat more later. But rarely did he enjoy a lot of company. Going outside, his hand on Nighteye's flat skull, the wolf was up past his hips in height, perfect for leaning on. Kesla would probably be able to ride the wolf for a while.

Sitting down in the grass, the stone steps of the old church being too hard for him to sit on for very long, he allowed his legs to stretch out from his body, petting the wolf gently. And scratching his ears. Nighteyes had his head high up on Jensen's thigh, tongue out and tail waving like a flag. The sun was warm enough to heat the ground down below, and so that the breeze was pleasant, not chilly.

Humming in a quiet baritone Nighteyes pricked his ears, glancing at the man, before howling low and quiet, as if to copy the light haired man. It was something Jensen had learned in his time before being a thief. Where he'd learned to read, and had fine clothes, and siblings. Yawning he mumbled the words to himself after.

Anneliese did as she was told, giving Skye a grateful look for the headsup. "I've been well. How about yourself?" she asked lightly, in good spirits. Taking a peice of buttered bread, she took a small bite and chewed thoroughly before swallowing. She was hungry, but she'd never have bad manners at the table.

(Sorry is short!)

"Oh, I'm always great!" Skye said merrily. "So, Seiri, do we have any plans for today, or will we just hang around?" She was nearly finished with her food, but she was taking her time, enjoying the small luxury and the company.

Smiling, "No. I was a bit busy with Kesla," and she always seemed to be. "There doesn't appear to be anything we need, and I don't see the point in endangering ourselves and making it near impossible to keep up our thieving. So, I try not to do too much of it," which meant that the group needed to mellow, too.
Not that they were really active. Seiri wasn't overly interested in getting them all killed, like James, the previous leader had almost done. She hadn't gone on the mission, being ill..and Jensen...as much as she loved him, she wouldn't have called him a survivor of his time in the torture chambers. He wasn't quite right anymore.
Didn't mean she didn't love him just as much, it was just that he'd died back there, too, in his own way.
His eyes were just empty. He didn't laugh or smile anymore. Wasn't trying to perk everyone up, didn't tease... he wasn't the same person. And she loved both. She just missed the man he'd been. But she couldn't expect him to ever go back to that... but she wished she could get him to smile more. Help his body heal and gain strength. Realising he'd left again, she figured he just didn't like the idea of being a real part of the group.

Must be hard, for him. He'd seen the others die. She hadn't. Didn't kill her as much inside to pass their empty rooms. See the places they'd laughed and joked.

Dameon sat on the front steps watching the people pass him by. He pulled a tiny bag out of his jacket and emptied its contents into his hand. A single silver pence and nothing more. He studied the coin for a while, flipping it over, examining the details. There was no particular reason for this. He sighed and put it away. Burying his face in his hands he sat and thought about nothing in particular. Thoughts were flying out of his head just as soon as the flew in. He grunted with frustration, stood and began to pace. "Why can't I think straight?" he mumbled to himself. He took out the bag with the money in it and chucked it across the way. It may have hit someone but he was to annoyed with himself at the moment to care.

Jensen, who had been stretched out on the grass with Nighteyes, grunted when it hit him in the face. Blinking a few times, he sat up, and looked around. Dameon, pacing around like a chicken without a head. Had Jensen been the man he'd been before the torture, he would have tried to perk the other man up.
Instead, he watched quietly, contemplating his actions. Standing slowly, and not without a sharp wince, he sighed. "You look confused," he commented. His voice wasn't hostile, or cold, simply devoid of feeling. Sometimes there was feeling there, hints of it. But not very often.

"Whatever it is, I wouldn't worry too much about it," he said, his voice holding some notes of reassurance.
