Quickly moving around the room, she blew out the candles, and took care of the incense. Taking a deep breath, Ashara grabbed a bag placing Pavan's pistol in it and went down to the engine room. Poking her head into the engine room, she saw Simon hard at work. He didn't notice her, so she didn't bother saying hello. Setting the bag down, the blonde picked up where she left off on her Qigong routine.

Just after she and the doctor became a mess of arms and legs holding on to each other for dear life, the rope got taunt and Letti felt the pop as the vest yanked against her body, and her shoulder dislocated. With the doctor holding onto her, the bungee holding onto him, most of the doc's dead weight was relieved from her arms. Though she fought to keep a good grip on him with both despite the pain irradiating from her right arm. She would be damned if she lost him now.
For a brief moment before the doctor attempted to pull them up towards the shuttle she thought she could hear him say something, but his words were drowned out by the rushing of the wind as they fell.
The mercenary hoped the doctor could somehow manage to pull them up, but if worse came to worse and she was forced to eat some gravel as they landed she would gladly take that option as well.

They were running out of time. It was a strange pet peeve to have triggered at the moment, but he had always hated the feeling of people waiting on him. And such was the case now; they were waiting on him. Only now death was the punishment for being late. Rex was clung onto Letti and the two, relative to the shuttle, moved in random directions at the end of the line. Holding the rope behind Letti, he began to pull the two closer to the shuttle. As he pulled on the rope, he fed it into coils into his right hand, only getting about three feet each pull. The two still moved randomly at the end of the rope. Up, down, left and right they kept at a stable distance, slowly closing in. This was hard to notice as the rope itself flew about wildly in the free fall, though its apparent lack in weight helped in handling it. Rex kept a hand on the situation by sliding his left hand up and pulling it back. He could feel the rope starting to make an abrasion on his hands as he worked faster. It didn't matter to him though. He could feel his adrenaline running out, his rush slowly coming to an end. The pain in his shoulder made holding the rope harder and the bullet wound in his leg made him want to hold it. Now his hand stung with every length he pulled out of it.
Calculations were a way he had always kept his mind off of pain, or kept stress away. Seeing everything in a more planned, statistical view would tend to keep his mind busy. 'Judging from the distance to lake divided by speed minus the time it would take to stop the descent of the shuttle... maybe thirty seconds. About fifty feet of rope left, judging by the length of the arc, divided by three feet per each coil that's ~48=12x4=4x3x4=16 lengths of rope left, doing about one every second... We can make it!' he thought, confident in his on-the-spot calculations. This bit of hope was diminished as the air currents whipped the rope around and tightened two coils of rope, giving up five feet of extra rope. 16 seconds had been an optimistic viewpoint and Rex realized this, now knowing he had to move even faster and with more controller. The doctor's muscles flexed as he formed an iron grip on the rope and began feeding the rope once more.
The doctor kept pulling and the lake kept getting closer. He had sped up in his progress, though not by much. The move had been slow, but only ten feet of rope remained and he could feel the heat of the shuttle hitting him. His body ached, it screamed for him to stop. He couldn't see straight and red seemed to line the sides of his eyes. Everywhere hurt and the places that didn't tingled like they were numb. The wind gave a sudden gust sideways and slammed the two into the side of the shuttle and Rex had almost let go of the rope. Rex had caught the upper portion of the door during this time and pulled the two in. The two hit the floor, with the wind rushing outside of the open door of the shuttle and the doctor laid limp. They had, from what he had factored in earlier, roughly twenty seconds to stop the shuttle's descent. The doctor finally found the strength to place himself, laying down, an the opposite bulkhead of the shuttle and had let go of Letti. He was dazed, exhausted, injured and losing blood, though not a substantial rate. The metal sliver sticking out of his shoulder had very little blood trickling from it and the bullet wound had been field dressed, albeit being a poor bandage. The doctor man soon blacked out, barely able to maintain consciousness.

Letti had to struggle to keep the doctor in her grasp as the two blew into the underside of the shuttle. Her shoulder was screaming in frustration, the dislocated joint doing everything in its power to hinder her rescue attempt, but they were so close.
Once inside the relative safety of the shuttle, and free of the doctor, the mercenary stood up and smashed the exterior door control with her fist. The door slammed shut, and for a moment she forgot they were not out of danger yet.
"Pavan," Letti said as she unbuckled and then tossed the harness aside, "Can we make it?" she asked falling into the copilot set. "Or was that whole rescue in vain?" she tried to joke despite their seemingly impossible situation and the guilt of what had happened poking at the back of her mind.

"Shut up," the woman snapped, knuckles white from the grip she had on the controls. The fact that the ship had not spiraled out of control from the change in cabin pressure had been nothing short of a miracle but there was still the issue of making up the altitude they had lost. Pavan was pulling back the controls but she knew that it was too late, the water below was approaching too quickly.

With the ground speeding towards them, Letti instinctively reached back for the harness of the chair only to remember the doctor.
"Ching-wah tsao duh liou mahng," she hissed under her breath as she shot up out of the chair and racked back to where the doctor was sprawled out on the floor.
There was a seat that could be pulled out from the wall, it was little more than a place to sit your a** and strap in, but it would work right now with no other options. As she leaned over him she considered popping her shoulder back into place before grabbing him, but decided to not waist the little time they had on her own comfort and instead grabbed the doctor under his arms and started dragging him the few feet towards the seat.
She didn't care anymore if she was strapped in when they hit, as long as she could get the doctor ready for impact, and survive long enough to drag him out of the shuttle. She wasn't to worried about much past that.
