Clearing her voice to get the attention from the class, she said in a mellow voice, "Now, everyone did well in the homework, except for Gryffindor," she sighed and shook her head, "I am very upset that nobody gave their homework to me from that house." Swishing away the thought about Gryffindor she said again, "I suppose that everyone knows about Hippogriffs now, but if you're still not sure, feel free to go to the library and look for the following books." With a swish of her wand the chalk levitated itself and wrote.

1. History of Hippogriffs and Humans
2. Hippogriff Encyclopedia
3. Havinig Fun with Hippogriffs
"These are the books I recommend, if you don't find anything to your interest in these books please come and talk to me.

Today we will be learning about unicorns. She knew many of the girls would love this creature, so beautiful and pure. Smiling a warm smile to the class, she said, "I will be taking you into the forests outside the school to see a unicorn. Be careful, I don't breed them, but they are wild and timid. Respect it as you would respect a Hippogriff." She pulled on her cloak and put on a warm scarf and hat, saying, "OK, students please put on your warm clothes for it is currently snowing outsid e and I don't want you to get a cold," winking.
"Come along now," Deirdre called to the students behind her, "Don't stay behind." When they entered the forest, there was almost no sunlight, but only shady spots where the sunlight entered through the abundance of leaves on the tall trees. Holding her wand up she said "Lumos" and a light appeared from the end of it, lighting up the area around them. "Now, all of you must be very quiet, sit down on the ground here," she pointed to a little clearing on the ground, "The unicorn should be coming into view any second now." As it came into view, Professor Shays put out the light of her wand and let the unicorn be the main image in the forest. It glowed a pure white, and it's single horn glowed a silvery light. It was majestic and aweing at the same time.
Professor Shays asked quietly to the class, "Now who can tell me what a unicorn is and also why it is called a unicorn?"

Zoe walked into the classroom. Looking at the teacher she asked, "Ummm... I just got sorted and I was wandering if you still wanted me to do the homework even thought it would be late. I'd stay but other classes are to be attended. I'll be right back, I promise."

Smiling at the student, she said, "Of course you may, what house have you been sorted into? Please give me the homework as soon as possible, for if not, we will be late in classes."

Aura without reasing her hand spoke
"Aunicoron can cure the sick or wounded, overcome evil powers, make rainbows appear in the sky and is said to make flowers bloom wherever they touched the earth. Also virtuous maidens are the only ones able to command the Unicorns strength and profit from their bounty." aura took a breath " also they are called unicorns because they have "one (uni) horn...i think"

"That is not entirely true, but a good answer without doubt. Next time please raise your hand to answer a question. Unicorns are mystical horses, and as you can see, flowers do not blossom where it stands." She smiled kindly at the girl, "What is your name and house?"

Martin flowed out of the shadows at the edge of the clearing and gracefully sat with the rest of the students. "That's right...to a point. The males of the species respond well to pure girls, and the females to pure boys...I'd guess they find the truely innocent easier to trust," he said smiling gently, "Found that one out first hand. redface sweatdrop "

How do you gain a hippogriff's trust? bow apon aproach and wait for it to bow back
* What must you do when approaching a hippogriff? bow
* What is the sign of trust that a hippogriff gives? it also bows
