I was SO squicked out by DL's brain punching, but I loved with all my little dorky heart Hiro receiving training from his dad. Finally! Hiro can stop acting like a child.
Next week is going to be so bittersweet. I'm so excited to see what happens with all the deaths (or not deaths?) and the explosion, of course.

Next week is going to be so bittersweet. I'm so excited to see what happens with all the deaths (or not deaths?) and the explosion, of course. I happened to like DL's brain punching. I just think Hiro needed a good slap upside the head to knock him out of it. But his dad did deliver that too, so I'm happy. I want it to be Monday already.

I loved the "Didn't I throw you out a window?" line as well.
When I was watching the 'Previously, on Heroes' thing, and it showed Molly Walker, and then Mr. Bennet talking about the Walker system, I was like "Aaah! She's the Walker system! They're gonna kill her!"
But, why does everyone keep losing brains?! Everyone who's killed by Sylat has their brain taken out, and now DL kills Linderman by ripping out his brains (Which I almost puked at, by the way.)?
Why did Sylar take Ted's power? I thought he didn't want to explode! Did i miss something?
Also, does anyone know when the next episode will be on in Atlantic Canada? The preview sadi it was at a special time, but I didn't catch when.

But I live in the US. And in answer to your other question: Sylar is power hungry, and will do anything to gain a new power because he feels Ted 'doesn't deserve it'.

Remember when Sylar went to visit his mother in the previous episode. At the end of all the drama he decided to succumb to the future he saw in the paintings, and become what he feared, the exploding man. That was signified by his painting the explosion with his Mother's blood.
What little humanity was left in Gabriel is now gone, he is nothing but Sylar now.
He killed Ted, because he desires power, and to fullfill the prophecy in the paintings.
If his mother had loved him for just who he was, instead of what she wished he could be, things would have been very different.
To cause the explosion, he needs Ted's power. Sylar wants to be the only special person, killing those like him, makes himself more powerful, and more rare.
