Those are the verbs we're using for past tense.I don't know all of them but I filled in the ones I know. There really is no way to get a pattern out of it you just gotta memorize them. Here are some we learned. BTW don't rely on the spelling of those. Ist Gewesen telephonert Geschreiben besucht gedacht Wow I can't think of them all. I'll give you more if you want just let me know. I got a list of them but not with me at the moment. Just let me know if you want them. sweatdrop

In one of the forms of past tense, most but not all verbs take 'ge' at the beginning. If I can remember which don't any time soon, I'll be sure to ammend this post.
When they go into the past tense this way, the auxillary is either 'haben' or 'sein.' The auxillary is fully conjugated and goes in the normal spot after the subject. The main verb then gets put at the end of the sentance.
For example: Ich habe geschlaft. I have slept Ich habe Komputerspielen gespielt. I have played computer games. Ich habe es getan. I have done it. Ich habe die Lehrerin gefragt. I have asked the teacher
The ones that use 'sein' usually refer to motion, except for the past tense of 'sein' and that, of all things, is conjugated to 'gewesen.'
Ich bin blauhaarige gewesen. I have been blue-haired. Ich bin zum Strand geschwommen. I have swum to the beach. Ich bin zum Kino gegangen I have gone to the movies.
With seperable verbs, the 'ge' goes between the two parts.
Zu|hoeren- zu+ge+hoert An|rufen-an+ge+ruft
Ich habe das CD zugehoert. I have listened to the CD.
I think that covers most of it...
