If you don't want to know anything on Season 3 of Avatar til' it comes out then don't read the rest. ^^;
The air date for season three has not been decided yet, the only thing they have decided on is that it is going to air sometime this year.
Here are a few things that are going to happen in Season 3, and just other things that you might've not known D:
1. New hair cuts..for EVERYONE. (And i mean EVERYONE, including Aang.)
2. New outfits.
3. Zuko searches for his mommy. <3
4. The first episode for Season 3 is called "The Awakening".
- Second episode is called "The Headband"
- Third episode is called "The Painted Lady"
- Fourth episode is called "Sokka's master"
- Fifth episode is called "The Beach"
- Sixth episode is said to make the fandom go crazy. >w>
- Eighth episode is said to be a "scarier" episode. o3O;
5. Zuko's wanted poster goes from Dead or Alive to just Dead. (This one is only a rumor, but it started way back in November, and has stuck around, so it's likely that it's true. And some people remember hearing Mike and Bryan talk about this at the Convention.)
6. The firelord doesn't accept Zuko. (obviously -_-")
7. New bending moves (And no, Sokka doesn't learn Waterbending, he will never get bending powers.)
8. The fifth episode, "The Beach", is going to be like "The Tales of Ba Sing Sa", but it's not a filler episode. And there were parts taken out of the episode because Nickelodeon didn't think they were "appropriate" for viewers....>>;
9. And I'm sure everyone has heard about the Avatar Live Action movie, the director has started writing the script for the first of three movies based on Avatar.
10. Season three is to end with "Epic Battle" between Aang and the Fire Lord..
The current Avatar story will culminate in an epic battle between Aang and the Fire Lord at the end of book three," co-creator Mike DiMartino said in an interview. "Book three is all mapped out, and much of it is written. We're excited about it, and we know the fans will be, too!"
And it might just be me, but when they say "current Avatar story", does that sound like there might be a fourth season? c_c;
And, the Avatar creators confirmed that Jet is indeed DEDZ. D:
(Which probably means Smellerbee and Longshot are too...;_;
"Lake Laogai" deals with the nefarious Long Feng, who brainwashes Jet and eventually kills him—not the usual stuff of children's shows."

11. Ty Lee and Mai will be developed more
12. We will get to see what life in the Fire Nation is like, and apparently everything there is a propoganda, even the grocery store. o.o;
13. The characters Bumi and Koh , the face stealer, have been mentioned by the writers as characters who we may see again.
14. More will be revealed about Avatar Roku.
15.A new multi-episode villain will be introduced this season. :]]
16. Something goes on between Mai and Zuko. >w>
17. The creators said Zuko will redeem himself, but not for awhile.
18. There will be more than 3 seasons, but no one is sure on exactly how many there will be.

And as many of you know, the voice actor for Iroh, Mako, past away last year. And they have found a replacement for him. Greg Baldwin is the permanent replacement for Mako as the voice actor for Iroh. He studied under Mako during Broadway shows, and sounds almost exactly like him.
