Isaac smiled, it seemed that his ruse had worked. The gems weren't important to him, just the fact that he was able to obtain more than the initial offer was. He nodded to the woman, then began to speak, "As long as I am given the pouch of gems before we depart," he paused for a moment, "then I will accept your job." Isaac wasn't usually one to follow the orders of someone else, but it was better than aimlessly sailing around or wasting further time here.
Isaac then went back to his desk, and began to write something down on a piece of very tattered parchment. He continually looked up at the odd woman, making sure she didn't try anything funny has he wrote.

Astrid smiled back at the Captain, "I thank you, sir Captain," she paused for a moment to make a scroll appear in her right hand. She threw the scroll and the pouch onto the Captain's desk. She then pondered for a moment, "The scroll will tell you were to go, and what to do when you arrive," she coughed softly, "after you do as it says, the instructions on what to do afterwards will replace the original instructions."
She then began to melt away into the air, letting the Captain do what he needs before setting off on the deep blue ocean. Before the rest of her presence was gone, she left Isaac with some parting words, "Do not make me disappointed..." the air then seemed to calm until more words were heard, "...Or you may not live another day!"

Isaac grabbed the scroll, and quickly shoved the pouch of sapphires into his pocket. The words that the woman said as she melted into the air annoyed him. "Who does that wench think she is?" he growled and began to crush the scroll in his hand, "She will regret the day she threatened my ship, crew, and myself!" He then stood up, and walked out of his hut, right past his earlier problem.
After getting to the 'village square' he began to shout, "All crew of the Cuore Scuro!" his voice boomed, being heard over almost the whole island, "Come to the village square immediately!" he then sat down on a rock, and awaited his crew to come to the 'village square'

Mana blinked as the voice of their captain boomed over the island. To the square? Ok then. The bird man stood and nodded to the lovely hostess. "Thank you for the water ma'am. Come on William, I'll give you a lift to the square if you give directions." He walked outside, and if Will was well...willing ((*snerk*)) he flew up, swooped down to grab his weasel friend's arms and hauled them both off into the sky. If not he just flew off.

The sound of the captain's voice woke Jasper from his nap on the warm sand of the beach. He had been there ever since they had returned to the island, having nothing else to really do, but it seemed now that the Captain had something that he needed the crew for.
He yawned as he got up, dusting the sand off the best he could, heading towards the square. It didn't take him long to get there, even from where he had been, and he noticed that he was one of the first to arrive. He nodded to the Captain, and took a seat on the ground, awaiting the rest of the crew's arrival.

The Captain nodded to his crew. It seemed that most of his crew had made it to the square, just a few stragglers were left behind. Isaac cleared his throat then began to speak, "I was recently visited by some... Magical being!" he said, "The being has given us quite the destructive opportunity!" he grinned to is crew.
"Bloodshed, and riches will await us at the end of this journey, are you up for it?!" he bellowed to his crew. "If you want to kill and become rich, prepare the Cuore to sail!" he yelled out as he pointed toward the beach where the Cuore was resting.

Mana blinked a bit as the Captain spoke of a magic being. Had a spirit come to him and spoken of a secret it knew? He was intrigued as his religion states you must invoke the spirit to speak to it. The captain spoke of bloodshed and riches, well he could do without a lot of bloodshed but wanted the riches. He could help fund a hospital for his hometown.
At the mention of getting the ship ready to sail, Mana took into the air and headed for the sails. He checked them all for tears or rips, fixing them as he found them. He checked all the ropes for frays or those in need of replacing. He took his job seriously and made sure all the sails were fit for a voyage. He wondered where they were going and what sort of spirits they would encounter. He would have to remember to pray that night for a safe journey and a bountiful reward.

Isaac began to walk toward the Cuore Scuro, his hands buried deep inside his pockets. He clenched his hand on the pouch of sapphires and grumbled about annoying magics, and the users of those crafts. Just then, he heard the woman's voice echo in his head once more, 'Do not make me disappointed..Or you may not live another day!' He scowled at the voice within his head and continued on his way.
After a short while, Isaac made it to the ship, and made his way onto the deck. He grumbled when he noticed a very small percentage of his crew was waiting for him. He tightened his grip on the pouch of sapphires and they made sickening grinding noises, as if they were going to shatter under the force. "Why must the curse of laziness fall upon my crew at this time..." he said under his breath. To try and get more of his crew to arrive, he called out again, "Hurry all! It is time to set sail once again!"

Will was still dazed from the trip over as he attempted to follow his captain's orders. Next time he had a quiet moment, he'd tug Mana aside and politely request that unless it was a matter of life and death he never, never took him flying again. And where was Scrap? The poor little bugger would have to have run all the way from the Rusty Bucket to keep up, but still he'd had plenty of time to do so and there was no sign of him. Will was loath to sail without him, but if it came to it he'd have no choice. His stomach turned over again as he remembered looking down at the island far below, and he groaned, leaning against the rigging. "If weasels were meant t'fly," he muttered, "they'd 'ave wings. Urgh."
"Meow."
Blinking, Will looked down to see Scrap nudging at his ankle. The strange little green serpent he'd named Somesuch was with him. Oh, so that's where he'd been. "Ah, ye found Somesuch. Clever boy. G'wan now, get outta me way so I can work."
Somesuch appeared to understand and slithered off. Scrap followed him, batting at his tail. Will rolled his eyes and carried on with his work, bustling about the deck to try and make up for the lack of deckhands.

Jasper grinned sheepishly, and darted off towards the ship. He had gotten slightly distracted by the idea of a new adventure, with Magical beings and bloodshed and riches, but now it was time to get back to work. There would be time to think about these things later, once they were back on the sea.
A little while later, the ship came into view, and Jasper joined the rest of the crew, the ones that were already there at least, on the deck, working to get the ship ready to sail again.
