i've been trying to figure out if i should buy the ibanez starter bass or the washburn. i've played the ibanez, and it's nice, but the washburn has a 40 watt amp. what do you think?

Never played ibanez. Washburn basses are pretty good. I've got a washburn banjo from the 1920s and it still plays. Washburn's some lasting stuff. mrgreen

ibanez sound gear series 4 or 5-string basses are certainly some of the best beginner basses i've ever seen, but i woldn't play any bass without elixir strings, they're super nice to your fingers and have excelent pop biggrin
anyhow, ibanez SG basses are cheap and effective, so get one and enjoy! wink
