grotesquecreeple Zwiebelsaft! grotesquecreeple Zwiebelsaft! ♠ The article makes me want to get the album. I just hope that it's not too "emo". ♠ (not to sound angry)Manson doesnt whine and whining is what comprises most(if not all) "emo" songs. ♠ As a Manson fan, I'm sorry to say this, but what you are describing sounds like their newest single. >.< I'm listening to "If I Was Your Vampire" right now and i hear no resemblance between the happy, nearly prancing and/or skipping tune of emo music and the dark, dreary and oppressive work Manson put into this album. Also 'emo' vocalists would never say anything about "...so soft and so tragic as a slaughterhouse you pressed the knife against your heart..." because they never use metaphors, similes or analogies because to put it bluntly thier ignorance and whining get in the way of them doing so. ♠ Now that I think of it, you seem to be right. Although, I'm not a big fan of the two singles as opposed to past ones such as The Dope Show, Dope Hat or Disposable Teens. And yes, I heard a bunch of the leaked stuff off of Youtube and out of tracks 1 and 4-7 (the ones I heard): Negative Anatomy "If I Was Your Vampire" – 6:01 "Putting Holes In Happiness" – 4:35 "The Red Carpet Grave" – 4:47 "They Said That Hell's Not Hot" – 4:17 "Just a Car Crash Away" – 4:55 "Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand)" – 5:06 "Evidence" "Are You the Rabbit?" – 3:57 "Mutilation is the Most Sincere Form of Flattery" "You and Me and the Devil Makes 3" "Eat Me, Drink Me" I pretty much only like that Hell song, and Evidence, while thinking that the rest (that I heard) are just ok... except for Just a Car Crash Away. I'm not excited for the album and I'm skeptical of buying it. ♠

Thanks 3nodding I do happen to agree that they are not as good as some previous songs such as This is the New s**t, Coma Black, Coma White, Man That You Fear and Dope Hat.

♠ I've heard every song on youtube and on the "93x Sunday Night CD Download" and I thought that pretty much all of the songs other than Heart-shaped Glasses, If I was your Vampire, The Red Carpet Grave and They Said that Hell's not hot were okay. I liked HSM, RCG and TStHnH, but hated If I was Your Vampire. The latter just sounds like... ugh. I mean- I liked it the first time, but seriously- when you're reminding me of HIM, then you're pushing it.
Don't get me wrong- HIM is okay, but Manson + HIM-style-lyrics-and-music=/= okay.
Also, why did he pick a gothic theme? It just doesn't seem like him. Couldn't he do a psychadellic theme or maybe even a disco theme? Just saying. ♠

Because this is the first album he's dedicated entirely to himself. It's his decision, and I respect him for it. But you're entitled to your opinion.

Aside from it being dedicated to him i think he wants to give Phantasmagoria the feeling that it could not have come from any regular Lewis Carrol fan.
