C'mon. There's gotta be some people out there that have played this game. It's one of the few Dreamcast games that wasn't really ripped and released to the Internet back in the Dreamcast days. I was quite happy when I found it new and for sale at a Toys R Us one day. I think it was $5.00, or maybe $10.00? Either way, a great discount for a very unique cult classic!

I remember renting D1 on the Saturn back when it came out, and was dumbstruck as to how to not die.
It was interesting, but I had no clue what I was doing (this was before I got hooked on horror games, and sucked royally at them).
I have a Dreamcast, is D2 worth picking up?

If you can find it, I'd highly suggest it. It's got a really unique style to it. If you check on the Silent Hill thread in the Videogames section of the site, you'll see that I've been able to start up some discussion about the D games there. biggrin

Damnit, now I wanna go hunt those down (curse my collector mentality), to add to my horror game collection I got going on.

Oh, for sure. It isn't a "real" horror collection without this game. biggrin
PS ~ I don't suppose you own the PS2 game Kuon? I've been trying to track it down. Last time I saw it, it was selling at EB Games for something crazy like $59.99 for a new copy. For a game no one had even heard of, it's no wonder the price scared people away from it.

I heard it was slightly above mediocre, though I bet the sales would've been better had Sony Pictures allowed them to used the english name of The Grudge (I think casual horror people were turned away from the title). EDIT: Weird, you can buy it used for 12.99 at Gamestop now. http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=939010 eek

Just BTW, I found D for Sega Saturn on ebay for 20-25 bucks, and the same price for D2, so thankfully it's not completely uber-rare to the point of no hope. xp

That's the thing. They'll have the game priced really high, and then drop it to something really cheap just to get it off the shelves. That's what I bet happened with Kuon.
D1 and D2 are very different games. D1 is more like a 1st person interactive movie, while D2 is somewhat like... maybe the Dreamcast Resident Evil.
