Eino blinked and looked up, crumbs falling from his lips as he chewed his latest mouthful of bread. "Hmn?" He looked over at a pretty girl addressing him and swallowed. "Umn, yes?" He couldn't help but glance around to make sure she was talking to him and not someone else, but there was no one around in the forest besides the two of them.

"That's right, I'm talking to you." Venice said sarcastically. "I haven't seen you here. Are you traveler?" She called out, her jar of flowers in tow.
She liked to think that she knew everyone, but that was far from reality. So the chance to meet new faces was a common treat.

Taking a moment, Eino swallowed his mouthful and stashed his bread in his bag, dusting himself off as he turned to face the new girl. She was pretty, and he found himself wondering if she had any money or valuable on her... "Well, I'm walking, so yes, I travel." He answered with a cocky grin, "Name's Eino, and who, may I ask, are you, pretty lady?" He instantly turned on his charm. Women were easy to trick out of things, you just had to smile right, be clean, and feign respect.

She soaked up his fake charm like a wet sponge. Venice moved her mouth to one side, as if taking the man in. "Well, I'm graced with the name Venice," she primped.
"So have you found your time on this...lovely... Island enjoyable, kind Eino?" She said, making small talk.

Moving through her home, Anor smiled lightly so long away from home but everything was just as she remembered. Closing her eyes for a moment, Anor just let the feeling of being home sink in. Opening her eyes again after several moment, Anor moved to her pack removing the small bits off dried food she had left. Sighing slightly, the elf knew she had to go out to the market. The food she had now would not be enough to last her through the week.
Sling her empty pack back onto her back, Anor moved to the door. Grabbing her walking stick, she moved out of the door pulling it closed behind her. Turning the key, Anor once again locked up her house before slipping the key from the lock and back into his hiding place in her hair. Turning then she started on her way to the market.

Eino smirked, "Well, fair lady, I've been born and raised on this island. I suppose one can't help but fall for it's charms." He took a step closer, eyeing her descretly. She was very pretty...perhaps he could spend some time with her? It wasn't very hard to woo a woman to a bed, especially if you got some good wine in her. "So why are you out here all by your lonesome, Venice?" Within his pockets his hands had stilled, and he straightened his posture a little, acting more regal and charming, as he had observed in some of the 'higher brow' elves.

A strange flicker of an image appeared in the trees of the forest. Hokrul wandered endlessly it seemed. His death was not a happy one either for too many things remained unanswered. Where was his body? Was there anything left of it? What happened after he died? Did they try and save him? Even as he thought of these things his mouth opened and let out a pitiful wail in frustration. He didn't even know if his family had gotten to mourn him yet.

"Born and raised you say?" She turned her head. Her lips crimped in disbelief. "Iv'e lived on this island since before I had eyes. And I never knew of a stranger like you here." She sighed. "I think that is a clue that I should get out more."
Finding the cue that she could talk about herself, she lept at the chance. "You see those plants over there?" She pointed to a head of green leafy vegatation, covered in a ranged size of peach colors blossoms. "Well those petals over there, make great.. Great.. Everything." She said. Not having the patience to go over the miracle plants uses.
From the corner of her eye, Venice believed she saw something. It was a safe distance, but a girl can always tell when something that unnatural was about.

Eino smirked, chuckling lightly at the woman's admission she needed to get out more. He turned politely to look at the petals, "Really? How interesting. And here I thought you were just a pretty lady picking pretty flowers. Turns out there was a purpose." He grinned, turning back. He looked devilishly handsome, his birthmark standing out against his dark skin on his face. He paused though, face falling, when he heard something wail within the trees on the wind. It was strange...he knew that it was there, despite the fact that it could have almost been passed off at the wind through the trees. He turned to peer into the forest around them, "Hmn...it sounds as if there are uneasy spirits about." He said, remembering the tails of ghosts of the fallen crying on the wind. "Perhaps we should go somewhere warmer? I hear wine is great for scaring away spirits." He smirked once more, turning and holding a hand out to invite Venice to show him where to go.

There. Voices among the trees. Horkul moved with a blinding speed and suddenly he was there before the two living people staring at them with sorrowful and jealous eyes. He opened his lips again and shreeked at them. "Where is my body?! Where?!" He moved closer to them restless as ever.

"Gah!" Eino cried out in shock at the sudden appearance of the monstrous spirit, grabbing Venice instinctively and pulling her back as his hand hovered over his sword. He was breathing heavily from the scare, surprised that such a spirit could be seen so clearly. Even in the gloom of the forest, there was still sunlight... "Be gone, spirit. We are no help to you." He waved a hand, "Go towards the light or...something." He sorely wished he had some salt on him...

She was stunned by the spectral being, that no words formed from her lips. The sudden jerk of her body Eino's grasp had loosened several wisps of hair from her beehive. Her usual narrow eyes as big as dinner plates, not knowing what kind of lore would follow such a ghost. "Shoo!" She said, since no other linguistics seemed to make sense in this kind of situation. The strange man had grabbed her so suddenly, maybe he was used to the unnatural.
