In Flanders Fields
By: Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, MD (1872-191 cool
Canadian Army

IN FLANDERS FIELDS the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

In the U.S., today is Memorial Day. I'm not sure about other countries, but here, this is a day to remember the fallen. I somewhat peiced together a collage of videos that I would appreciate you too watch. Not even al of them. Just watch one that get's attention. I'm later doing a 21 Gun Salute in memory of the fallen. It's going to be at a ceremony that takes, on average, 2 hours. The least you can do is watch a four minute video. If your wondering why I do this, I'm come from a military family. As far back as I know, my family has been in the military on both sides. I've lost many to wars, and few to natural causes. I will one day join as well, and still, I will be doing this.

May all our men come back safely. And they probably will if Bush does not watch the press and what they make the war look like. I think it is hell regardless of what the media says and that is all there is to it.

*smiles a bit* i have a hard time with the news media....
i sleep but i really dont sleep. i turn to her wich settles and hangs in my room.i cant stop to think of it.... but it happens... mostely everynight i think about them.. especially on holidays.
they will never be forgotten.
i understand its their duty, and thats why i dont moan and sob everynight when i think about them.
the one poem with the medals, thats the hardest of all. more medals means more memories.
i hear that soldiers either gets rid of the medal or just lock it up in a box an burries it. in the ground or in that darkbasement of theirs.
im happy so se one becasuse when i do, i help them.
i changed a veterans life. yeup a war hero. (thats was if u wanting to callem ur hero)
but they dont like to be called a hero, they will only say... "im not a hero"
