I've only told my sister. I really don't plan on telling anyone else.

I came out to my ex-boyfriend and his best friend, but it wasn't until about a year later that I came out to the girl I had a major crush on for about three years, who at the time was my best friend. It was probably the best day of my life, I asked her to come over my house and hang out, and no one was in my house except us and I said "I need to tell you something, and I hope by the time I'm done saying it, you'll still care about me as you do now and not hate me forever. I'm a lesbian and I'm in love with you." And she just sat there, for maybe only two minutes, but to me it felt like hours, lifetimes!
"You...love me?" she looked like she might bolt out of the room and I immediately regretted my decision, until she pounced on me and gave the best kiss of my life. With, of course with many more to follow. biggrin
Hm, enough rambling, so now that she is my girlfriend and we make out in the hallways of school without a care, I'd say my entire school of around 2,500 something students know I'm so far out of the closet I'm in the bathroom. heart

I had to reread this post like 5 times grinning madly.

That's about the sweetest, awsomest thing I have ever read and really makes me wish I'd had the guts to do the same when I had the chance.

That is wonderful. Thank you for the grins =DDD

Don't feel pressured to come out to everyone, it isn't their business but it does take a lot of weight off of your shoulders. Not that I would know, haha, still closeted but very much open with my friends. xD

No I haven't told anyone... yet. But I do feel a lot more comforable being Bi around strangers instead of my friends. And the girl I'm in love with is homophobic(against gay guys I'm not sure about les girls yet)so thats a bummer rolleyes

Ok. So other than my sister, I've also come out to a few of my best friends (including the one girl I like...it was a disaster), my cousin, and my former friend who thinks we're still friends after I told her that I'm bi and she ended up telling a bunch of freshmen...the joys of high school.

I've come out to all my friends, since half of them are gay or bi anyways, that was no big deal. I told my mom, and while she isn't particularly happy about it, she is learning to deal with it. I told my dad, and his immediate response was "Good. you won't get pregnant." So, I figured he took it well. blaugh

But... then there's my grandma, and her fiance. I know for a fact that Dave, her fiance, is fairly homphobic. I mentioned my gay friend Kyle, and Dave went on some rant. My grndma, she doesnt mind that I have gay friends, but I'm still wussing out on telling her.

She always talks about trying to set me up with boys, and how I'll find a fantastic 'future-husband' and all this stuff about grandkids. I can tell she thinks I have no dating life, because I never talk about guys I've dated, and obviously, I'm not going to mention the girls I date.

It's difficult, but I'm working at telling her sweatdrop

I came out to my best friend in the eighth grade... out of our entire school he was the only kid who was open about being gay, and I'm still very proud of him for being so brave to this day, because after he did every one of his other friends stopped talking to him. Very sad how people can be. crying

I was giggling my stomach out while I was reading this. I have to say that I read it over and over again, smiling like a goofball. rofl

Anyways, some of you guys are lucky that you have understanding people in your lives. :] Makes me wish I was in your place..

For those who didn't have such smooth sailing, and yet was still able to come out, I envy you guys for having the courage to do so. I wish I possessed the same bravery that you guys have.

As for me, I haven't stepped out of the closet yet, at least not to anyone in real life. All the people in my life seem to be against homos, so I'm not sure if they'll accept me as I am -a lesbian. sweatdrop
