Sirius Dogstar The sun slowly began to set upon the open plains. Barren of all life it seemed except for a large male lion. In the weakening sunlight his pelt shone with gold and silver markings. The coloring acting like a beacon to any creatures near by. Shaking his mane as he walked through the grasses, Kajji let out a yawn. Having just awoken from a nap, he was still rather tired. Sleep filled his gold and silver eyes as he survayed the land. Blinking to clear them every so often. Split Personality When the sun goes away the cub will play and indeed this little cub was off where he wasn't supposed to be. Padding with silent feet, though a happy grin crossed his face... why was he so happy? Was it the fact he was disobeying his father? The fact that his mother would be worrying if he was gone too long... but he had followed this bug... a hopping bug... until he was hopelessly lost... sort of... ^W^ He padded along, his pink eyes blinking in the dying light. It would be dark soon and then he'd have to head home and get yelled at. He sighed. Mother and Father think I am so incapable of being... a grown up boy... and I will prove them wrong... He said, his tail curling... he was not his mother or his fathers boy... but almost someone elses.
Sirius Dogstar Kajji cocked his head to the left as the soft voice reached his ears. Sniffing at the air, he looked about. What? Whomever was nearby smelt like his father? Was Umo nearby? Shaking his head, Kajji called out softly. "Hello?" Split Personality Tope caught the sound of someones voice and for a moment he thought he had been caught. He stopped short, his front paw catching the dirt and he stumbled.OofHe cried, his head hitting the dirt. He lay there in a crumpled heap, before he puffed the fluff of mane from his eye before looking up at the dark lion. He blinked his pink eyes.Urm-hello He said, blinking Sirius Dogstar Peering down at the cub, Kajji couldn't help but grin. "Why hello there little one, may I ask what your doing out here by yourself?" Kajji still couldn't connect as to why this cub smelt like his father. Settling onto his hunches, he waited quietly for the cub to anwser him. Split Personality Tope curled his nose up at being called little. He stood up and shook the dust from his coat... licking distastefully the dirt from his tan nose. He sniffed his nose, looking up.I am hunting for my Family... cause my Dad doesn't hunt well cause he's to fluffy to do it for me and my brother and sisters... and Mom likes frogs which are gross. So I am hunting today.He said, puffing his chest out with pride.

Kajji chuckled at the young cub's actions. " I ment no offense young one, prehaps you can tell me why you smell much like my father Umo?" He asked, his mind still having not connected that the young cub was his father's.

Tope did not think it was funny. It was true. His father was too busy being his big old fluffy self to notice that Tope had slipped away. He sniffed his nose, lifting a paw to nibble between the paw pads. He of course wasn't hunting at all but wandering, which was his favorite thing to do... other than break the rules... but he only did that when he was bored... or lonely or hungry. He blinked up at the dark lion.My fathers name is Umo... so I probbly smell like him cause he's my Daddy! But the only other cub my daddy has is Kinamasi... and she went away to find her name before we were band...-bam...-banished... yeah. Banished from the swamps.. So Dad says she might never find us ever....He said, looking around for a moment, his pink eyes blinking.

"Banished? why were you banished from the swamps?, I'm Umo's adopted son. Tell me how is father?" Kajji was filled with an uneasiness that his father had been banished from their home. Prehpas he had been gone for too long and had been forgotten. It would seem his father had not told his cubs about their adopted brother.

Tope looked confusedly up at this stranger and blinkes his pink eyes slowly. He opened his mouth to say something but shut it just as quick. A brother? He knew he had an older sister but an older brother? He cocked his head and looked down, pawing at the dirt. He had no clue why his father never brought up another child. He shook his head. In reality, Umo had not told the children of Kajji... to protect him. He did not want the swamplands to know he had another child... and the cubs being so young... he didn't want to create anymore danger for him and Kika.Daddy never said anything about a brother... but yeah... we got banderished... Father saw'd me get borned... and thats a bad thing at the swamps is guess... but...
Tope shrugged. He didn't know why his father had watched and he didn't know of the punishment that would have awaited them if they had stayed; death.You don't look like Dad... how do I know you aren't lying... cause dad said Kinamasi looks like him and mom... and you are dads color almost but nothing like him at all.Tope said, not grasping the concept of 'adopted'

Kajji cocked his head slightly as he listened to his brother's reason for being banished. His gaze softened as he watched the cub from the anger he had felt at his family being banished. "I don't look like father because he's not my real father, nor is mother my real mother. Father took me in long before he met mother" He hoped that he had explained it to the cub better, not too sure how to explain adoption too well.

Tope reached down too nibble between his toe pads, before looking back up at the stranger. His father was not really this strangers father but he called him father? His little head spun a bit for a moment. This lion was older... and that would explain why father hadn't met mother yet... so Tope simply looked up with a pleasent smile and said-"Hi... I'm Tope... Even though you don't look like dad, I believe you... okay!He said with a pleasent smile. Padding over and under Kajji, he popped out from in between his front legs. He looked up with his pink eyes a-blaze. Sometimes.... I wonder if I am going to be special cause daddy sawed me firstest... ^^

Kajji looked down at Tope, grinning at him. "Prehaps you will" Inside however Kajji was worried for Tope, he didn't want anything to befall the young cub. Deep in his heart, Kajji vowed that he would protect his family from the Pride. Watching Tope, Kajji was curious as to what the young cub would do.

Tope padded out from underneith Kajji, his tail curling up over his back like his fathers did so often. He turned and blinked up at his big brother, his little tan nose wrinkling cutely as he did. He bounded a few steps before spinning and planting his paws flat on the ground, his torso lowered and his butt wiggling.I think I am going to be extra special... I think I will be the biggest and strongest lion ever!He said, his pink eyes lighting up with delight. The thought of being a big and strong lion when he grew up was a good one indeed. He smiled warmly.
