Be careful if you decide to add a small fairy companion. Some may think its a Zelda rip-off.

Well, I'm no good at character names so I can't really help there a lot.
I was thinking though to enhance the plot we could do something like... there's a group of people that are against the Grim Reaper and want to destroy him or whatever, so they're in the city trying to get the main character guy and he has to fight them or avoid them. Might put more excitement and action in there than what we got so far.
Also, instead of a tragic ending you could have an ending that starts out tragic, like he dies and the reaper comes to take his soul, but something happens and he comes back to life. Maybe make it so no one remembers him from before or just make it so he lives happily ever after.

Like a badass fallen angel or maybe some immortal dude who is really tough somehow. I agree that he shouldn't have super powers and all that, so he's gotta have another way.

lol, that would be funnier. Could have some of that in there but when she not around it can be like a chase scene like in old Jackie Chan movies. When he would jump over rooftops and stuff and throw ladders at people.

Yeah that be hillarious maybe he has to run away from the people that are after his adopted dad (grim reaper) Secret. While trying to make it home before it gets dark and dodging tree shades and shadows before its night time lol.

I started writing a first copy of the story. I got as far as when he arrives in the US and I got the background all written up. I had to make up some stuff to fill in holes but it can always be switched around, just trying to get an idea of what we go so far and how it looks written out. I'll do more soon but this took me a while.
