Yuwi kept on the heels of the Dunmer as he went into the castle. Her eyes adjusted quickly to the dim light. She had spent many moonless nights in the marshes of Leyawin, so objects and creatures were easily told apart for her. The sudden leap of a rat came out of nowhere. It wasn't necessarily going to attack her, but she couldn't hold back her reaction to attack. In a quick flash, she grabbed an arrow from her back and equipped her bow. The arrow was quickly strung and pulled back, aiming for the rat.

Yuwi held her bow ready and strummed up once more awaiting for another creature to move into a little more light. Now that one attacked she was sure that more would become aware of their presence. Rats weren't hard to deal with, but if you ever did get bitten by one, there was a high chance you could get a disease. And she was sure with Seroth's sudden yell, the rats would be jumping at any moment. The wood elf didn't say anything towards Seroth's thanks, but gave him a quick glance.

Her eyes finally adjusted to the darkness, hearing Yuwi get into battle. Selene's sword was at the ready and she quickly scanned the immediate area, seeing nothing as a direct threat to her. A sudden noise attracted her attention as a huge rat with gigantic teeth lunged at her from the left. The Breton turned instinctively and delivered the attack.

2 Rats die! +1 XP to Yuwi and Selene
The remaining two rats were now fully aware of the other's presence, along with a ghost. His figure was transparent, but the misery warn on his face was clear to anyone. His motions were slow, but his movement was quick as he covered ground from high atop the stairs the came down to meet the doors on the count's floor. "The daedra have come again!" the ghost howled as he unsheathed his sword. His range was still far away as he raised his hand to cast a spell of frost at the group. No matter where it hit, the range of the attack would engulf them all.
Frost Damage: 5pts
As the storm of frost began to clear, the ghost was right in front of them, swinging his large claymore to cover a great area of space. The spirit's sword went to cut through Selene and Seroth, who were the closest to him.

Seroth reacted quickly. Pushing hard off the floor, he pulls his blade from it's sheith and attempts to block the spectre's attack.

The death of the rat, however insignificant the creature was, was riveting. Energised by her success, Selene neglected to see the angered spectre heading towards them. The air became chill as it released a frost attack and glided towards her and Seroth. Taken by surprise, the girl tried to block it.

Selene failed to block the ghost's attack and fell heavily on the floor. Temporarily winded, she groped blindly for her shortsword again in case the spectre attacked again. Feeling a sharp pain in her side, the girl traced a gash right above her hip. Blood wasn't flowing strongly due to the flowy material of her robe. Selene managed to stand up, holding onto her weapon, determined not to be taken by surprise again. Feeling weak, she remembered in time about the two spoiled health potions she had from her journey. A few more seconds and one of the oddly-shaped vials was in her hand as Selene gulped down the contents with revulsion. The pain eased slightly. She was still up for a good fight.
(Spoiled Health Potion - restores 5 health points, raises Selene's health to 7)

Yuwi easily moved out of the way of the ghost's attack. However, it seemed like a few of her teammates did not. Yuwi took cover behind stone, which may have been a decorative collum from long ago. She breathed for a moment, waiting for a reaction from her companions to see what they would be doing against this supernatural being.

Having blocked the attack, Seroth leaped toward the ghost set for wulf. Swinging the long blade over his head, He made to chop right down into the ghost.
