Uhh, I'm going to have to say that Satan is my hero.

Then Lucifer and the Demons.

And the interweb is my hero for leading me to this discovery.

And my brain.

Although I don't care for Lavey. But maybe he is a semi-hero, since Laveyan Satanism was like a gateway philosophy for me to other ones and Theistic Satanism.

it's strange i'dd have to say but first i was a LeVayan satanist, so i guess i'dd have to say Anton Levay and Peter H. Gilmore. but now i've moved on to Traditional Satanism. but they were my first influences.

I'm going to drop an often ignored name here: Herbert Sloane, founder of the world's FIRST above ground Satanic Church (yes, before LaVey.) He was the High Priest of the "Our Lady of Endor Coven of the Ophite Cultus Sathanas." The Coven was founded way back in 1948 (18 years before the Church of Satan) and it was based in Toledo, Ohio. Herbert Sloane was a retired Barber who then became a professional card reader. He believed in Satan as a literal entity as well as Satan's bride Lilith. Like most Satanists before and after him, his two main holidays were October 31 (Sathanasmas) and April 30 (Lilithmas.) He also taught the literal existence of Jehovah whom Satan opposes. In fact, he actually joined the Church of Satan in the mid 70s after reading the Satanic Bible, but he remained High Priest of his own Coven and eventually left the Church of Satan in the early 80s when LaVey became a faschist, a political philosophy that Herbert Sloane had a strong distaste for. His Coven did not survive his death, and he was cremated.
